For over 20 years E-Polk Inc, doing business as PANGAEA Internet, has provided affordable, reliable fiber-optic internet to foster economic development, improve quality of life, and promote innovation. As a local 501(c)(3) non-profit we are proud to partner with and provide internet to the schools, local and county governments, hospitals, businesses, and residential customers throughout Polk and R

utherford Counties. We currently serve nearly 1,000 customers and with grant funding we can grow to support many more. We are glad there has been a nationwide and statewide focus on expanding broadband service as dependable fiber internet is essential for people’s health, education, and employment. PANGAEA internet cares about our community and we are driven to support our region’s progress, and we are grateful for our past and future funding partnerships.

Yesterday, PANGAEA Internet CEO Ken Griffin had the opportunity to speak with the Rotary Club of Tryon and share a little about who we are—and, more importantly, why we do what we do.

From our history as a nonprofit internet provider to the communities we serve, Ken highlighted what makes PANGAEA different. Our network supports 911 call centers, schools, county governments, local businesses, and residential customers—because reliable internet isn’t just about being connected. It’s about keeping our communities connected. 🌐

And being local really matters.

🐾 Even kittens know good internet when they find it! 🐾

We managed to catch these four sweet little kittens (about 4–5 weeks old!) snuggled up at our Columbus office yesterday.

We're hoping to find their mama and get this little family reunited.

Later this week, we'll be bringing the kittens to Foothills Humane Society, where they'll get all the love and care they need to grow up happy and healthy. 💛
