Moving is one of life’s most stressful events. The loss of a spouse is also one of life’s most stressful events…. There are times in families where all of that comes together to create what could be a “perfect storm.” I spoke with a client one week ago today who was looking for an estate liquidation. His father was gravely ill, his mother needed to move, and he was from out of town. He had never heard of “independent care communities” or “senior move managers”. After talking, he called Covenant Woods, went there that evening, signed paperwork, and today his mom is safely settled in her new home. She has been a TROOPER!!! It was a whirlwind week, and a 10 hour day for some of our fantastic staff, who wouldn’t leave till it was all just right. But when you see the joy & relief…. Hear the squeal of excitement as they walk in the door….see the tears of gratitude… it makes every second well worth it. I am so grateful to be part of such an amazing team who get such joy out of helping others!
