Wicker VS. Rattan: What’s the difference? 🧺🌿

They’re often used interchangeably, but they’re actually NOT the same thing! 👀

🌿 Rattan = the material. Rattan is a natural material that can be dried & woven into furniture.

🧺 Wicker = the weaving technique. Wicker describes the process of weaving materials together to create furniture, baskets & more.

So, rattan furniture can be wicker, but wicker furniture isn’t necessarily rattan. 🤯

Easy way to remember:
👉 Rattan = what it’s made from
👉 Wicker = how it’s made
