If Amazon comes to Columbus is this a good thing or bad thing? There devolpment in Columbus would be a campus like setting similar to Apples in California. So this limits spots in the downtown corridor. This development would most likely go closer to a suburb more so than inner city core. Thoughts on the potential Amazon in Columbus?

Coworking spaces are the new wave in Ohio, a company called Spaces originating from Amsterdam has signed on for over 42,000 square feet of office space in the Short North. The building they will be located in is the nine story tower at 711 N. High Street. This move represents the companies first office space in Ohio. Also the biggest co-working space in the city of Columbus.

Columbus home prices have continued to rise non stop. Home prices up 9.5% from last year.

Columbus area homes are selling for a median price of $185,000.

Average days on market was 39 days compared to 45 last year.

3,485 homes were on the market at the end of march which is the lowest inventory in Columbus for a long time.

This amount of inventory mainly is affecting affordable suburbs like Grove City,Hillard, and Gahanna where as in high priced neighborhoods I.E. Powell, Italian Village remain steady with inventory.

Starting Tuesday employers who work Downtown can start enrolling in COTA's free bus pass program.

Employees are only eligible for the program if there companies work the Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District. The Class service begins June 1 and runs through Dec. 31, 2020.

There are several ways you can use the service:

• A smartphone app. That employees will scan at the fare box.

•A sticker on the company ID that the employee will scan at the fare box.

• A COTA issued ID card.

Something fun to do this Saturday at Scioto Audobon Metro Park near Downtown. Proceeds go to Hope for Heroes Obstacle Race will benefit the M.A.S.H. Pantry and Resource Center’s PTSD Support and Awareness Center. Registration: $40, or $45 at the door.

More and more development in the Short North, it seems to be never ending anymore.

The Wood Companies are currently in progress with Hubbard Park Place a 101 apartment unit building including a roof top pool with 12,000 square feet of office space. This is a half block away from Goodale Park and a half block away from North High St.

What your opinion on all the development in the Short North? Good or bad?
