Today, one of Rusty’s drivers was clipped by an F-150 on I-270 on the west side of town while working.

Thankfully, he is alive, but he is being transported by squad to be checked out and will need X-rays.

This is your reminder: SLOW DOWN. MOVE OVER. — FOR ALL EMERGENCY AND ROADSIDE SERVICE VEHICLES. 🚨

There is a real person inside that truck. He has a wife and kids waiting for him at home. ❤️

Please keep him, his family, and everyone involved in your thoughts and prayers tonight.

Ready for your children to go back to school? We understand the feeling.
Here's some things for this week to look out for:
➡️⭕SU is back in session over the next couple of weeks student move-ins will be happening so if you're in the area please allow for extra time with traffic.
🚍Back to School means school bus safety.
🛑Children are allowed to cross up to three lanes of traffic when exiting a school bus.
🛑Remind your children to never walk behind the bus. Also to always be in the bus driver's sight while crossing.
🛑Please be on the lookout for children crossing and have patience. Allow extra time in the morning to make time for bus stops.

REMINDER!
Beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow, July 29, the Utilities Department will perform utility work near Orchard Lane and Groveport Road.

A section of Orchard Lane between Groveport Road and Locust Street will be temporarily closed while the work is completed. Drivers should follow the posted detour route shown in yellow on the map.

The roadway is expected to reopen before the end of the day. Please use caution and allow additional travel time when driving through the area.

🚨 TRAINING EXERCISE NOTICE 🚨

The City of Obetz Police Department will participate in a Mass Casualty Exercise (MASCAL) simulation training at Hamilton Township High School tomorrow, Wednesday, July 29, from 8 a.m. to noon.

During this time, residents may hear loud sounds and notice a heavy police, fire and EMS presence around the high school. There is no need for alarm—this is only a training exercise.

Thank you for your understanding as our local first responders train and prepare to keep our community safe.
