Three weeks ago our student chapter had the opportunity to host some local middle school students for a Physics of Light workshop. We had a fun filled morning with games, demonstrations and interactive presentations. We want to thank all of our student chapter officers and members for volunteering at the event and Dina S. Eissa for coordinating with the school.

Thank you to Pushkar Shirahatti, Katherine Indyk, Shramana Bera, Ted Busch for preparing presentations, Michael Hill for preparing the experiments and Reagan Massey for preparing the games.

Last week our president Dina defended her dissertation titled "From Design to Insight: Strong Field Rescattering Using NeXUS's Photoelectron Spectrometer End Station". We are incredibly proud of all her accomplishments and grateful for her leadership of our student organization over the past year. Under her watchful eye we have hosted 7 seminars, 1 student symposium, 5 facilities tours and a student workshop to teach the next generation about the physics of light.

Congratulations Dina!
