City Of Columbus Lead Crisis!
As many of you may have heard via your local news source, approximately 30,000 homes in the city of Columbus, primarily Bexley, Reynoldsburg, Gahanna, Obetz, and as far south as Earnhart Hill, are connected with lead service lines to the city water main.
This means that your water can pass through anywhere from 2/3 to up to 20+ feet of lead pipe before reaching your home. That's not counting dozens of feet of galvanized steel lines which corrode and collect a build up of minerals from the lead pipes as well as all other metal the water flows through, essentially doubling the amount of lead your water travels across.
Luckily, the city has created and interactive map in which you can type your address in to determine if you may be connected through one of these lead pipes.
As a resident, the cost of replacing these lines do not fall on you. However, due to the volume of work the city is involved in, you may not be a priority for replacement, and that's where we come:
We are currently offering our services in locating these pipes and excavating the surrounding earth. Contact us for more information on removing the threatening lead and galvanized piping in your yard: 614-569-0083
