According to the Editorial Freelancers Association, the average cost of basic copywriting is $30-40 per hour, translating to approximately $6 per page (https://www.the-efa.org/rates/). Rates increase based on the intensity and complexity of the work. At Get It Write Editing Services, our beginning rates are less than half the industry standard, saving you money while offering the same high quality service.
Level 1: $2.00 per page
- Editing of punctuation, sentence structure, and grammar
- Minor and infrequent rewriting
Level 2: $2.75 per page
- Moderate editing of punctuation, sentence structure, grammar, and word usage (including subject-verb agreement, homophone usage, and pronoun consistency)
- Improving style consistency, plot flow, and character development
- For dissertations and theses, includes reviewing works cited page for proper format
- Minor but frequent rewriting
Level 3: $3.50 per page
- Heavy editing of punctuation, sentence structure, grammar, and word usage (including subject-verb agreement, homophone usage, and pronoun consistency)
- Moderate focus on style consistency, plot flow, and character development
- For dissertations and theses, includes reviewing works cited page, formatting graphs and charts, and comparing works cited page with in-text citations
- Moderate rewriting and restructuring
