Activist investor presses Bath & Body Works to explore a sale
Barington Capital has accumulated approximately 780,000 shares—a 0.38% stake—in Columbus-based Bath & Body Works and is urging the retailer to consider a sale, according to a September 10 Reuters report citing Bloomberg.
The investor also wants the company to repurchase shares and improve revenue performance. Barington plans to publish a letter to the board and seek board representation.
