During archaeological work at the U.S. Grant Boyhood Home in Georgetown, Ohio, our team discovered an interesting artifact: a mineral water bottle about the size of a modern water bottle!
The U.S. Grant Boyhood Home was where Ulysses S. Grant, the 18th president of the United States, lived from 1823, when he was one year old, until 1839, when he left for West Point. He lived in this house longer than in any other home during his life.
The U.S. Grant Boyhood Home is an Ohio History Connection site, where our team is currently conducting archaeological work.
