We had the pleasure of hearing from Heather Cochrane with The Cochrane Insurance Group, LLC: Allstate Insurance.

Heather has offices in Harrisburg, NC and Hickory, NC, and she is truly not your average insurance agent. If you have a claim, Heather wants you to call her — not an 800 number. She believes in one-on-one personal service and making sure her clients feel taken care of when they need it most.

A few important takeaways from Heather’s presentation:

🔹 A lapse in insurance can affect your rates
🔹 Her office has someone on staff who speaks Spanish

This week our networking group had the pleasure of hearing from Whitney Grimm with Central Carolina Insurance Agency, and she gave us such valuable insight into commercial insurance, risk management, and why having a real human advisor matters. 👏

Whitney is a Commercial Risk & Liability Specialist, and she shared that business owners shouldn’t just HOPE their policy covers them — they NEED someone who will actually review it, explain it, and help protect their business before a problem happens.

A few things that stood out:

✅ Commercial insurance is not one-size-fits-all
✅ Having a responsive agent can make all the difference
✅ Annual business reviews help keep coverage aligned as a business grows

We had the pleasure of hearing from Jasmyne Dwyer. She gave us an inside look into the restaurant industry through Hot Tuna Wok & Roll Bar and Bubba’s Bunkhouse.

Jasmyne shared the unique identity of each restaurant — from thoughtfully curated menus and creative design concepts to the food, atmosphere, and overall experience each location offers. It was so interesting to learn how every detail plays a role in creating a memorable dining experience. 🍽️

She also highlighted opportunities for private events and space rentals, showing how these restaurants can be the perfect setting for everything from casual gatherings to more structured events and celebrations. 🎉

We’re also excited to hear about the upcoming opening of Sugar Street, a new ice cream shop! While Sugar Street does not offer event space, it will be a sweet new spot to enjoy great ice cream and support another local business. 🍦
