UPDATE - February 2, 2026:

Suspect Raheem Jeroy “Roy” Glascoe, Jr., wanted for his involvement in the fatal Kite Court NE shooting in Concord that occurred on January 26, 2026, turned himself into the Concord Police Department around 9:15 a.m. on Monday, February 2. Glascoe was taken into custody without incident. He is being charged as an adult with first-degree murder (N.C.G.S. 14-17), second-degree murder (N.C.G.S. 14-17 (b)), robbery with a dangerous weapon (N.C.G.S. 14-87 (a1)), and two counts of discharging a weapon into a moving vehicle (N.C.G.S. 14-34.1(b)).

We're asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Raheem Jeroy “Roy” Glascoe, Jr. who is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred on January 26, 2026, on Kite Court NE in Concord.

On January 26, 2026, at 8:11 p.m. the Concord Police Department was dispatched to 1226 Kite Court NE for reports of an assault with injury. When officers arrived, they located one victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. Officers immediately rendered emergency aid until Cabarrus County EMS arrived. The victim was transported to the hospital and later succumbed to their wound. Based on witness descriptions, a suspect’s vehicle was stopped on Douglas Avenue NW. Inside the vehicle was a second victim from the same Kite Court shooting. The victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. They were transported to the hospital where they later succumbed to their injury.

As a result of the continued investigation, detectives identified Glascoe as a suspect in the case and obtained a warrant for his arrest on the charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and two counts of discharging a weapon into a moving vehicle.

Concord Police are actively working to apprehend Glascoe and are now seeking the public’s assistance. Glascoe is described as a black male, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds, and lives on Crowell Drive SW in Concord. He is also known to frequent The Greens of Concord apartment homes.

Glascoe is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone sees Glascoe or knows his whereabouts, do not approach him. The public is urged to immediately call 911 or the Concord Police Department at 704-920-5000, or to remain anonymous call the Cabarrus Area Crime Stoppers at 704-93-CRIME.

This is an active and ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released as it develops.

This 24 hour block of instruction teaches the steps to apply for Behavioral Threat Assessment & Management best practices & assists in preventing acts of terrorism & mass violence.

These no cost publicly available trainings contain information, relevant to community members, homeland, security partners, law-enforcement, emergency management, education, healthcare, legal, and public safety.

Yet, he had access to weapons, ammo and drove 2/3rds the way across the country and no one had seen or heard any indicators of trouble? It is very rare cases that suspects of targeted violence don’t leave some clues. Why are people not working together to prevent these tragic events from happening?
