Does your path to success and happiness feel like this?

My daughter drew me this map and said if I got lost, I could use it ❤️

Right now, this map very much feels like my life! Crazy, complicated, and without a clear path.

But here is what I know. Life is never a clear path. You can plan, you can prep, and you can follow all of the directions. BUT There will always be twists and turns, ups and downs.

What helps me
1. It’s ok not to be ok or have all the answers
2. Focus on what I can control (myself), and if that is not enough, organize and de-clutter something
3. Embrace the NOW, find what I’m grateful for, and try to enjoy the journey (or remind myself the sun will shine again)

Affirmation is a powerful tool to help the downward spiral of negative self-talk, fear, and anxiety. We have an internal dialogue and what we say to ourselves matters. You can either build yourself up or tear yourself down.

Having a handful of positive affirmations ready to go when the negative self-talk kicks in will help you take charge of your thoughts. Physically strong 💪🏻

Week 2 🏃‍♀️

Today was a 💩 storm. Bad night sleep, sick kid which made EVERYONE late to run a test and make sure it was not Covid and a massive headache.

Totally a legit morning to say screw my run right! That’s what I wanted to do but I made a commitment to myself

The first 1/2 mile was hard but one step at a time got me to mile #2 and by that point I was already in it so I may as well give it what I got. ❤️

I am not a runner. Those are the words I have told myself for years.

This summer A friend and I were talking about turning 40 (I know, it's happening in 2022 😁) and how this is the perfect time to hit those fitness goals.

Mine was to compete in a triathlon.

I don't know if I will ever actually do one, but I sure as hell wanted to take on the most challenging thing, and that is running for me.

Here is my fitness goal for 2022
1. Swim a mile
2. Run 10k
3 run 5k in 35min

Being inspired by those around me is the only reason I need.

timelines and milestones don't matter, cause as long as I get up and move, I'm already winning

Shame and negative self-talk will NOT be my driving force to complete my fitness goals in 2022. when the time comes and the negative self starts, “cause it always starts,” I will focus on 🥇 thing that was a win.

My win today
I went for a run in 40 weather and did not hate it. I enjoyed it.

Today was the first time that I felt like I could call myself a runner

#1 You are already are enough and worthy of love as you are 💕

I needed to hear this message today, and maybe you do too.

I am a perfectionist and am always trying to be a better version of myself. I love this trait about myself, especially with everything I have learned since I had started my project four years ago.

But today, I realized that a part of me was pushing to improve myself because I would be worthy of love when... OR I would be enough if...

I realized that my constant need for minor self-improvement is not healthy for me, especially since I am doing it for all the wrong reasons.

I can not think of the last time I was not "working" on myself, trying to find a way to be a better version of myself, chasing that feeling that maybe this will be the habit when I finally love myself when others finally love me.

What would it feel like if I just stopped self-improvement cold turkey? To just be me and love myself as I am, flaws and all.

Friends, is this crazy talk? How do I even start loving myself as I am... How do I just BE me?

Self care is more than a buzz word, it’s essential to your health as water, fitness and healthy food.

Self care can be anything from a bubble bath, cooking or baking, gardening, painting, hiking or running.
