Cabarrus County, we could use your help.

BNI Cabarrus is growing, and we’ve reached the point where we need to start looking for our next home for Wednesday morning meetings.

What we’re really hoping to find is a local business or space that would genuinely benefit from having our group there each week. We’re a chapter that believes strongly in supporting small businesses, building relationships, and keeping business local, so we’d love to find a spot where the relationship makes sense both ways.

Our group typically brings together 30 to 40 local professionals on Wednesday mornings, and we’re looking for a place in Cabarrus County with enough space and parking to host us comfortably as we continue to grow.

This could be a coffee shop, brewery, office space, or another local business that sees value in being connected with an active referral-based networking group that cares about supporting the people and businesses around them.

If you own a business, know someone who does, or have a space that may be a good fit, we’d love to have that conversation.

We currently meet Wednesdays at 8:00 AM, and as we grow, we’re excited to find a place that can grow with us.

Today was a big week for BNI Cabarrus.

Our newest member, Carlos Amaya with the Casamerica Team, earned Presentation of the Week, chosen by last week’s winner, Kelli Embler. Carlos shared a compelling introduction to his work as a real estate investor and educator. He also hosts the podcast “Hablemos de Real Estate con Carlos Amaya,” where he shares real estate insights and investment strategies drawn from 15 years of experience, including work with major brokerages and helping families navigate the home buying and investing process. 

We also have important leadership news after today’s meeting. After a unanimous vote, Kelli Embler is now the President of BNI Cabarrus. Kelli has shown up consistently, supported members, and led with intention. The chapter is behind her as she steps into this role.

Momentum and engagement like this are exactly what helps members grow their businesses and referral networks. If you have been thinking about visiting, we invite you to join us and see what BNI Cabarrus is building.

Today was a special day for BNI Cabarrus.

We met at The Community Free Clinic of Cabarrus County, and we owe a big thank you to Penny Aronson for hosting us and welcoming the entire chapter. Penny delivered a featured presentation that was both insightful and impactful, showing the difference the Clinic is making in our community and how they provide care to those who need it most.

Congratulations to this week’s Presentation of the Week winner, Kelli Embler with Alcova Mortgage, nominated by last week’s winner, Wally Neely with the RE/MAX Executive Premier Team. Kelli educated the room on the mortgage options she offers through Alcova and helped break down solutions many buyers may not realize are available.

It was also a bittersweet morning as we thanked Ashley Ackerman - NC Farm Bureau Insurance for his time as President of the chapter. Ashley has led with consistency and integrity, strengthening the chapter week after week. He is staying with BNI but will be switching chapters, and he will absolutely be missed.

And because Ashley couldn’t leave without a little fun, he casually “thanked” Cameron Carroll of Window Hero of Concord for taking over as President. Cam’s face said everything, and the room got a good laugh.
