Hello, and thanks for your interest in my concealed carry class! The class is easy and laid back, we try to make it as much fun as possible! Young and old, novice and experienced students all walk away with some good information, and with some good pistol shooting and safety training. Don't worry if you don't have much/any experience with guns, because teaching the inexperienced to shoot good and
safely is our specialty! The class begins at 8:00 a.m. and usually ends shortly after 4:00 p.m. We supply all guns and ammo, and eye and ear protection necessary for practice and qualification. You may bring your own gun and ammo to use if you wish, but please, no loaded guns or ammo in the classroom. We also supply lunch, usually grilled burgers and BBQ chicken sandwiches with chips. You are welcome to bring your own lunch, snacks and drinks as you wish. We take several 10 minute breaks throughout the day, but we do not leave for lunch, we keep teaching while you eat (this knocks an hour off the overall day). State law requires that the class last a minimum of eight hours. CCW class fee is $65.00 per student. A military discount is offered. This is not a cut rate, subpar class. My friend Tracy and I both teach during the class, and we both are certified NRA pistol and firearm safety instructors. We teach the full NRA pistol course as it applies to concealed carry, with additional CCW lessons added to the curriculum. There is no written test but you must qualify with a revolver or a semi-automatic pistol to pass the class. The qualification distance is 7 yards, very easy. Qualifying and practice will be outdoors. We shoot, rain or shine, and we have a canopy to set up if needed. Please wear/bring appropriate clothing, coat/jackets, headwear and footwear for shooting in the predicted conditions. Students will be allowed to wait in the comfort of their cars until it is their turn to shoot. In case of predicted extreme weather conditions, the class will be rescheduled. I will contact you a few days prior to class for conformation. I will contact in case of class cancellation/reschedule. The only reasons for a class cancellation/reschedule are; lack of minimum number of students met, or predicted extreme weather conditions. We will reschedule in these cases.
