Fun fact: different aggregates have quirky superpowers-sand gets polished by wind or waves, river gravel earns its smoothness from long tumbles, crushed stone's jagged edges make concrete stickier, recycled concrete gives old buildings a second life, lightweight aggregates puff up like popcorn to make airy blocks, slag adds a tough blue-gray twist, M-sand brings consistent particles for cleaner mixes, and pea gravel is so comfy you'll want to walk barefoot on it.
