THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR BOUTIQUE!

The Canton Woman’s Club Boutique Committee would like to extend our most sincere thanks to the exhibitors, members and guests who supported our 28th Annual Holiday Boutique. On October 6th and 7th, the lovely Victorian house was filled with people shopping for an amazing assortment of unique gift items. The Pantry was overflowing with delectable baked goods. Many guests enjoyed a delicious lunch in the Cafe. Members volunteered countless hours and could be seen all over the house serving the needs of our guests. The funds raised during this event will be used to preserve and maintain the Club house which is 156 years old.

Canton Womans Club is Hiring
Part-time Receptionist
Overview
The Canton Woman’s Club has created a reputation as a destination venue for various catered events. We are looking for a responsible person to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks resulting in the efficient and effective operations of the Club Office.
Major tasks, duties, and responsibilities:
Responsible for receiving visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone.
Answers calls and sees to it that messages get to appropriate people in a timely manner.
Refers to membership yearbook as a guide for directing visitors.
Handles outgoing mail; sorts and distributes incoming mails.
Drafts, reviews, and proofreads office documents.
Responsible for basic data entry as assigned.
Maintains and stocks basic office supplies.
Responsible for operating and maintaining office machines, including printers, copiers, and faxes.
Ensures compliance with the club’s rules and regulations in the reception area.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills
An expert in using technology to enhance speed and accuracy of administrative tasks.
Ability to effectively communicate members’ needs and requests to the Executive Board and/or the appropriate committees, as well as written communication skills for filing and documentation.
Solid phone handling etiquette to respectfully engage with guests and members.
