GERONIMO.......On this day, February 17th, 1909 Geronimo dies of pneumonia at age 80, while still a captive of war at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.~ This rare cabinet card Image shows the great Apache Resistance leader leaning against a tree. photographed by William E. Irwin, Chickasha, Indian Territory with inscription in period script on the cards reverse, "Jeronamo (sic), from the Apache tribe, now in captivity at Ft. Sill.”~ "We are vanishing from the earth, yet I cannot think we are useless or Usen would not have created us. He created all tribes of men and certainly had a righteous purpose in creating each. For each tribe of men Usen created He also made a home. In the land created for any particular tribe He placed whatever would be best for the welfare of that tribe. When Usen created the Apaches He also created their homes in the West. He gave to them such grain, fruits, and game as they needed to eat. To restore their health when disease attacked them He made many different herbs to grow. He taught them where to find these herbs, and how to prepare them for medicine. He gave them a pleasant climate and all they needed for clothing and shelter was at hand. Thus it was in the beginning: the Apaches and their homes each created for the other by Usen himself. When they are taken from these homes they sicken and die.How long will it be until it is said, there are no Apaches?" ~ Geronimo, 1906.Geronimo often spoke of his desire for his people's eventual return to their ancestral homelands in Arizona. Tragically, his life ended at Fort Sill, Oklahoma far away from the beloved lands he had been forcefully taken from and imprisoned by the United States Government for defending. ~ Bedonkohe Apache leader Geronimo [Goyaałé], Mescalero-Chiricahua

Parents of Seniors if you have a child interested in attending an HBCU, have them apply in the Common Black College App. They pay a one time fee of $20 to apply to 65 HBCUs.

Since Covid I have been doing a lot more in the area veteran services than I have been doing in college and career readiness or motivational speaking in previous years.
This could be attributed to the fact that over the past year, I’ve been taking care of my two brothers who were veterans, and both having transitioned to heaven. 

But what I found out is it’s much more satisfying to help veterans get the benefits that they truly deserve and to see their quality of life increase is not only a blessing to them, but a blessing to me. If. you know a veteran, and they need some help, please tell them to contact me. 

And …. I am still available for speaking engagements 🙂

The music for Water competition is on. Don’t hesirate to get your song in. It’s open to singers, songwriters, musicians and spoken word. Monetary prizes and a chance for your music to be heard. All for a good cause. Helping those in need on Skid Row especially women and girls.

We provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene programs (WASH) to underserved and impoverished communities in Africa and the USA who lack access to clean water.

Had to repost- very powerful

Never underestimate the valuable and important difference you make in every life you touch. For the impact you make today has a powerful rippling effect on every tomorrow. In order to make the most use of our lives it is important that we go into the world, and leave as big of a mark on it as we possibly can. Not just any kind of mark, but a mark that will encourage others to encourage others. A mark that will inspire others to inspire others! A mark that will inspire unity, love, peace, and hope! Every day is a new day and a new beginning, whether we realize it or not we have the ability to inspire others from across the world by just showing that we care. It is important to go into the world and make a success for yourself, but only if you are going to use this success in order to help other people in the world succeed. Actual wealth cannot be measured by how much money or material items you may have, wealth can truly only be measured by the number of people that you helped make a positive enough impact on to succeed as well by the end of your lifetime.

Our lives are crazy. Anything can happen any day. When things are going wrong sometimes all we can focus on is the bad things. Instead we should try to focus on the surprise blessings that can make any day a good day.
You could get into an accident , but your okay and your car still drivable. You could be stuck in traffic, which causes you not to be in an accident. You could be rushed and not have breakfast but someone brought donuts. Someone in your family is ill but God makes a way for you to help. It’s truly the little things in life.
Each morning we should get up, greet the Lord and pray for a good day. We should Thank him!!. From there we should look for the little things that go right and thank him for every blessing.
