Blackberry 19 Studio Formerly Clanton Graphics, Blackberry 19 Studio includes a graphic design studio, a clothing brand and photography. Founded in 2000.

Michael Clanton, Creative Designer, founded Clanton Graphics in 2000- a full service design studio that works in advertising design, multimedia and identity branding. The studio also includes in-house textile screen printing services, using an 8-color screen press, and CadCut vinyl graphics. In 2003, Blackberry 19 Clothing Company was established as an online t-

shirt retail store. With increasing demands for commercial photography for both advertising and marketing, the studio expanded to offer creative photography services. In 2013, the name changed to Blackberry 19 Studio - a division of Clanton Graphics - to reflect some of the diverse advertising and creative solutions that are now available.

Jan. 2, 2000- I officially opened the doors of "Clanton Graphics", which would later be known as "Blackberry 19 Studio". I had just left a steady job and a steady paycheck as an art director for the past 9 years- I had no money saved and no business prospects... at all... I had NOTHING but a desire to create and design cool things. In the midst of Y2K, I got a phone call at 6am on Jan. 2nd, and had earned my first dollar by 8am.

So here I am many years later, still not much money saved and only a few solid business prospects and loyal customers- still trying to design and create cool things... trying to get better, to BE better (at this rate it's going to take a long long time). It is always difficult to start a new year- big plans, big dreams, lots of uncertainty and empty pockets.

These days the studio is not my only job- I'm very thankful for my day job as a creative designer at Crossman Printing, and that I get to keep doing creative work with Blackberry 19 Studio and of course the exciting world of LittlePhotoBooth! Here's to a new year- please be gentle- let's DO this!
