Pets, like people, can experience stress when they move to a new home. At Glimmerglass Move Managers, we take special care to make sure our clients and their pets are well cared for during and after the move. This curious 18 year-old cat wanted to help out--or make sure she was going to move with his family! She is happy in his new home and doing very well.

I'm working with a generous client who is currently donating some terrific items to the Guild of Glimmerglass Festival's Barn Sale Fundraiser on June 3 & 4, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Sale will be held at 3975 State Hwy 28, Milford, New York. Garbage. Rubbish. Trash. Solid Waste. Junk. Refuse. That's what you might think when you see this picture--it's not pretty, but it's what goes into our landfills every day. This is just a snapshot from the Northern Transfer Station outside of Cooperstown today. Look closely and you'll see Freon cylinders, plastic and glass bottles (some returnable for 5 cents), cardboard, paper, aluminum cans, clothing, wood, food waste, and more. Remember to RECYLE, REUSE, COMPOST, and REPURPOSE your unwanted items. With just a little effort, we can all reduce our waste. My goal is to help clients avoid discarding items that can be reused or recycled.

Are you starting off the New Year with new goals? Maybe it's time to get rid of old resuable clothes, books, and other household goods that you no longer need or want. Many local charities can sell or donate your household goods to help others in need. We're lucky to have several area SPCAs that have thrift store that accept donations. Your donations will help support the care of animals like my dog Clancy, a rescue from Delhi, NY.
