Dip molding might get a lot of attention around here, but it's not the only process in our toolbox.

Piper Plastics also offers fluidized bed coating—a process that uses thermoplastic powder to create a durable, conformal coating around a preheated metal component.

Depending on the application, materials such as nylon or PVC can provide the protection and performance the finished component needs.

Different application. Different process. Same goal: finding the right manufacturing solution.

Piper Plastics has been solving manufacturing problems for generations.

What began as a small operation on Long Island grew into a highly specialized plastics manufacturer shipping products around the world.

Through all that growth, one thing hasn't changed: our willingness to tackle the jobs that require a little more engineering, creativity and problem-solving.

We're proud of where we came from—and even more excited about what we're building next.

Need a specific color? There's a good chance we can make it happen. 🎨

Color can be used for branding, identification, organization, safety—or simply because your product needs to look a certain way.

Piper can work with custom plastisol formulations and color requirements to produce parts that meet both functional and aesthetic specifications.

What color would you choose?

Dip molding and dip coating sound similar—but there's one important difference.

🔹 Dip Molding: The plastic forms around a mold and is then removed, creating a standalone plastic component.

🔹 Dip Coating: The customer's actual part is dipped, and the plastic remains permanently on the component.

Same basic technology. Two very different applications.

Not sure which process is right for your project? That's where we come in.

Why do we use plastisol?

Because one material can offer a surprising amount of versatility.

Depending on the formulation, plastisol can be customized for different levels of hardness, flexibility, clarity, color and resistance to environmental conditions.

That flexibility allows us to develop parts around the needs of the application—not the other way around.

Sometimes the simplest parts have a big job to do.

Caps, grips, tips and protective covers are some of the many products that can be manufactured through dip molding.

With customizable colors, textures, hardness and wall thicknesses, a seemingly simple molded part can be engineered specifically for its application.

Have a part in mind? We love a challenge.

Ever wonder how a dip molded plastic part is made?

The process starts with a heated mold, or mandrel, which is dipped into liquid plastisol. The material gels around the mold before being heated again to cure. Once cooled, the finished flexible part can be removed from the mold.

The result? Seamless, durable plastic components that can be customized for a huge variety of applications.

At Piper Plastics, dip molding is what we do best.
