Every artifact tells a story.

Thanks to donations from the Tower family, the museum's telecommunications display preserves an important part of Calaveras County's history and the early days of CalTel.

It's a reminder of how far we've come—from hand-crank telephones and switchboards to reliable internet, WiFi, and modern communications.

We're honored to continue serving the communities that have supported us for generations.

📣 AT-A-BOY ALERT

We got one of those rare calls—a customer calling just to say something nice! No outage. No billing issue. Just a thank you.

Robert recently called to share how much he appreciates the CalTel team. After dealing with several compromised accounts, he said our employees have been patient, kind, and helpful during a stressful time.

💬 "Thank you for the quality of service you provide and for the quality of employees that you have. I truly appreciate CalTel and all your employees.”

Great job, team! Your patience and kindness don’t go unnoticed. 💙

Every connection has a story.

In 1895, 16-year-old James A. Tower strung the very first telephone line in Calaveras County. More than a century later, we're still building, maintaining, and improving the network that keeps our communities connected.

Technology has changed. Our commitment to our neighbors hasn't.

Thank you for trusting your local team for over 130 years. ❤️

As a local company, this one is personal.

We watched our communities come together during the Gann Fire, and we watched first responders do everything they could to protect the people and places we call home.

To every firefighter, first responder, dispatcher, law enforcement officer, pilot, and support crew—thank you. Your dedication, resilience, and service mean more than words can express.

We're proud to be part of this community, and we're proud to say thank you.

As our community continues to face the challenges of the Gann Fire, our hearts are with every family, first responder, and neighbor who has been impacted.

Our crews are working alongside emergency responders to safely restore phone and internet service wherever conditions allow, with a current focus on the Circle 20 area. Restoring reliable service to every affected customer remains our priority.

Thank you to the firefighters, emergency personnel, volunteers, and everyone working tirelessly to protect our communities. And thank you to our customers for your patience, understanding, and support as we work to reconnect the places we all call home.

If you've been impacted by the fire or are experiencing internet outages, temporary free public Wi-Fi is available in the CalTel Copperopolis office parking lot.

❤️ From all of us at CalTel, we're here for our community—today, tomorrow, and for the long road ahead.

It looks like spaghetti... but trust us, we know which noodle goes where. 😅

This is one small part of what keeps homes and businesses across Calaveras County connected every day.

Fast WiFi doesn't happen by magic—it happens because of hardworking local technicians who know this network inside and out.
