*Brain-based executive and corporate coaching
*Mindfulness at work certified facilitator I’m an Executive/Corporate Coach, Keynote Speaker, and Mindfulness at Work Facilitator with a passion for helping executives and organizations prevent

burnout, bring happiness to the workplace, and make success sustainable. Anything that has to do with brain science, human behavior, or human potential--I’m there. I’ve been fortunate in my career, climbing the corporate ladder in senior positions at Fortune 500 companies, such as Sony Pictures, FOX, and Comcast/NBCU. When my professional and personal life grew exponentially, I found myself looking for ways to stand out and continue to succeed in both. I hired an executive and leadership coach to help me deal with the exhaustion of trying to do it all. I guess you can officially call this phase “my experience with burnout.”

In this process of self-discovery, self-love, and self-mastery, I reconnected with my authentic self, values, and passion for service and contribution. Today, I dedicate my life to creating uniquely curated executive coaching and training programs that aim to minimize burnout and maximize happiness in the workplace. When you can’t change your circumstances or reality, you’re challenged to change yourself. That’s why I created The Happiness at Work™ and Mind Mastery™ Executive Programs—to help individuals and organizations develop the emotional and mental agility to achieve and build sustainable success in these competitive, fast-moving times. In my coaching and training career, I’ve been privileged to learn from the best in coaching, mindfulness, and neuroleadership. Thought leaders, such as David Rock, Sarah McLean, and Daniel Goldman, have been great influences in my career and the development of my corporate wellness programs. Being part of the Tony Robbins Coaching and Business Training Team allowed me to serve top executives and entrepreneurs from the world’s leading industries. I work with individual clients and large groups as a keynote speaker, seminar presenter, and lunch-and-learn workshop leader. Maximizing bottom lines, happiness, and performance are my specialties

Do it as if you think you can.

That’s what I tell myself when I experience self-doubt and self-criticism.

Can you relate?

We all experience self-doubt.
It’s a common part of the human experience.

Self-criticism kills your ability to believe in your self-efficacy, limiting your capacity for success.

But experiencing self-doubt does not make you less capable.
I’ve found that if I just accept and normalize the fact that I experience self-doubt, I can shift my focus and rise to the occasion.

❌ Self-handicapping is not an option when experiencing impostor syndrome.

✔️ Believing and acting like “I can” has been the best approach for me when faced with a new challenge.

What do you do when you experience self-doubt?

What you’re willing to give up shows what you value.

👀

We’re constantly making choices.
And we all had full plates before the pandemic, but then it got worse.

We played the game for a while, tried to juggle it all…until we started “dropping balls.”

Which left no other options than to let go of everything but the essentials.
And was that really so bad?

In many ways, the pandemic forced us to focus on what matters.

What did you eventually realize is most important to you now?

Balance the right amount of stress with the right amount of rest.
This is a healthy mantra.

Are you wondering if there’s really such a thing as the “right amount of stress?”

Here’s why there is:

Growth happens when you combine stress with rest.
If you keep stressing yourself with no rest, you hit burnout.

But if you frame stress as an opportunity for growth and allow yourself the courage to rest, then you will automatically plant the seed of expanding your potential

❌Stress is not always bad.
✔️Stress is necessary.

When you combine it with rest periods, then the conditions for success are set.

What does rest look like to you after periods of stress?

Your mood affects your performance.

No brainer, right?

You know this, and yet…

I bet you get through your day without stopping to think about how your mood impacts you.

🤔So the real question is: Are we in charge of our moods?
And the answer is: yes and no.

There are thousands of factors you can’t control that have a pronounced effect on your mood.

But, by being aware and in tune with your emotions, you can help shift your energy.🌞

And with enough intentional awareness, you can make shifts and changes in your energy. Those changes can make a huge difference in the way you live your life and in your work performance.

What mood are you choosing to embrace today?

🤔 Have you ever wondered why hugely successful people favor the same outfit day after day?

✔️ It’s a brilliant way to reduce .

If you’re feeling mentally depleted, your storage could be at max capacity!

Like all body parts, your brain needs energy to operate.

But, mental energy is not limitless. On the contrary, our brain uses more energy than any other human organ, and it consumes 20% of the body’s total energy! 🧠

Managing and budgeting your mental resources is key to maintaining performance.

This is the perfect time of year to delete and declutter some of your mental space to allow for more mental capacity and performance.

What are some of your favorite strategies to preserve mental energy?

I read you in comments!👇🏼

Your brain may be sabotaging your best efforts, and it’s not even your fault.

But you can do something about it when you understand why it’s happening.

You don’t produce your best thinking when your mind is not at peace.

In a culture obsessed with high performance and employee engagement, it’s vital to understand how our environment influences our brains. 👇🏼

I recently read a post from on “The Pandemic Brain.”

🧠 Simply put, our brains are not the same now as before.

🧠 We live in an environment of uncertainty, disruption and even threat, so it should come as no surprise if we can’t function as well as expected.

Now, more than ever, we need to shift our focus to creating the right mental habits and conditions for powerful and effective thinking.

🧠 Meditating
🧠 Creating intentions
🧠Pausing and resting
🧠 Identification of priorities
🧠 Connecting with core values
🧠 Mapping and visualizing goals
🧠 Managing our attention and distractions
🧠 Budgeting mental resources and energy

These are all habits that can help us deliver our best performance at work.

If we don’t create the right conditions to think effectively, we can’t produce our best results. Our brains simply have too much background noise to perform at their highest function.

How do you increase your mental performance in this disruptive environment?

Burnout.

The big pink elephant in the room.

And here is how the pink elephant looks like (besides pink) :

✔️75% of workers have experienced burnout, with 40% saying they’ve experienced burnout specifically during the pandemic.

✔️Prior to the pandemic, just 5% of employed workers and 7% of unemployed workers said their mental health was poor or very poor. Now, 18% of employed and 27% of unemployed workers say they are struggling with mental health issues

✔️67% of all workers believe burnout has worsened over the course of the pandemic.

✔️36% of employees said their organization isn’t doing anything to help with employee burnout.

✔️7% of employed respondents say they are currently working longer hours than usual since the pandemic started.

✔️61% percent of remote workers and 53% of on-site workers now find it more difficult to “unplug” from work during off-hours.

Understanding the causes and current state of employee burnout can help executives, leaders and organizations develop strategies to prevent it and address it more effectively.

Unhappy and unhealthy employees don’t drive engagement, productivity or performance at work.

Why do you think it is hard to talk about the big pink elephant when all we want is to increase our effectiveness?

Hello and ! I know I have been M.I.A ( missing in action) but I wanted to take a real break from the digital world so I could practice presence before the beginning of the new year .

How did you kick off the year?

If you are finding yourself experiencing a lack of ❌self-direction, ❌motivation and ❌focus, don't worry 😉! You are not alone 😬!

Starting a new year can feel a little bumpy and confusing at times!

I started my year practicing “ mental rehearsal” to prepare my mind for action.

This technique of Mental rehearsal can help you reconnect with your goals and purpose for this year.

Research shows that picturing/visualizing  yourself going through routines, whether it’s an important presentation or something more mundane, improves your chances of success!

Our brains love certainty and dislike the unknown.

Rehearsing an upcoming situation in your mind can help you become more familiar with it which minimizes anxiety or nervousness and increases your self-confidence.

Have you ever rehearsed anything in your mind ?

How did that turn out?
Let me know in the comments below!

Feel free to save this post as a reminder!

Frustrated, frustrated, frustrated…

How often do you experience frustration?
Everyday, not always, almost never?

Frustration is a function of our expectations, assumptions and attachments

Read that again….👆

If you happen to have a strong relationship with frustration, then the following questions might help :

1️⃣Was I creating a fixed expectation in my mind about the outcome of the situation?

2️⃣Was I trying too hard to meet my agenda?

3️⃣Was I being fixed on my mental models, standards, beliefs?

4️⃣Was I trying to exercise unrealistic control over this outcome?

We don’t think about this frequently, but many of our frustrations come from being fixated on the idea that life should meet our expectations, our mental models, our agendas.

💬What word/attitude could be an antidote for frustration?

Today, as I count my blessings from this year I feel a deep sense of gratitude for having the opportunity of speaking and training organizations on how to create happy, productive and wellness-conscious workplaces.

This is a dream come true in the making!

Many of us are still trying to figure out how to navigate the current environment.

There’s hope if we can focus our attention on how to master ourselves in the face of adversity and uncertainty while the things we can’t control figure themselves out.

Personal effectiveness is a journey that requires focused awareness, intention, effort, accountability and guidance. And let’s not forget constant adjustment and attunement.

Finding balance within ourselves when the world around us is spinning out of control requires training. But the good news is that this is a trainable skill!

Grateful for the opportunity to work with companies that are committed to building sustainable success by creating happy workplaces and happy employees.

Have you reflected about your accomplishments and blessings from this year?

Name one thing that you are grateful for 👇🏼

One of the things I enjoy the most about my job is helping people move from problem-minded to opportunity-minded.

Sure, I understand the value of measuring risk.

But when you get into the habit of constantly focusing on the possible risks you lose sight of the possibilities.

And sometimes possibilities are bigger than risks!

The way we think impacts our mental habits. And our need to minimize pain and failure will automatically make us focus on prevention.

Just beware: Life is about prevention but also about creation!

Double tap ❤️ if you agree!
