🧠 "What If the Most Innovative Architectural Detail Was the One You Never See?"
In the race to create iconic facades, reimagined interiors, and highly sustainable buildings, architects push the envelope every day. But what if some of the most impactful design elements are intentionally invisible?
Take privacy glass, for example. It’s often viewed as purely functional used for hospitals, offices, or secure areas. But today’s advanced glass technologies can:
• Define mood without disrupting form
• Control light dynamically without mechanical systems
• Serve as walls, screens, or art
• Integrate seamlessly into smart building systems
And yet, these features are rarely specified early enough to make an architectural statement. Why?
Because they're usually classified as “add-ons” rather than design assets.
🔍 Here’s the opportunity:
What if glass wasn’t just a material, but a medium?
What if it could respond to the user, the environment, and the brand’s identity?
💬 We’d love to hear from architects:
• When does privacy or switchable glass enter your design process?
• Do you see it as an opportunity to influence the experience, or a constraint?
• Have you seen glass used in a way that transformed a space—not just functionally, but emotionally?
