Real talk about healthy eating! Don’t assume It comes easy for me…
Sometimes I feel like people think that just because I teach about healthy eating for Type 2 Diabetics, I've got it all figured out and I never have to worry about my own diet anymore. But let me tell you, that's not true at all!
Truth is, most days are pretty good and I've got a solid meal plan in place to manage my blood sugar levels. But there are definitely days when I wake up and the last thing I want to do is eat a salad or count carbs.
To be honest, I'd much rather indulge in my favorite dessert. But hey, right now this is my reality and I know what I need to do to be my best self for my own health and the people who matter to me.
The thing is, there are gonna be times when you just don't feel like eating healthy. Times when you give in to those cravings. And you know what? That's okay! Because healthy eating isn't about pretending it's always easy…
It's about learning, practicing, and developing the skills and habits that make it less of a struggle in your everyday life.
