Building a deck with Southern Yellow Pine is a good idea: it's affordable, durable, and, of course, beautiful. It's also an environmentally sound choice.

: Forestry is causing permanent deforestation and damaging the environment.

Fact: Although the lumber industry cuts down trees to use for paper and wood products, it replants more than it harvests. Trees stop taking in CO2 once they mature, and young properly-managed forests tend to be the most efficient at absorbing CO2!

Forestry makes sense, doesn’t it?
