A big thank you to Cordele Police Department for providing a cake to us here at CFD in honor of Firefighter Appreciation Day. It’s acts like these that remind us how strong our community truly is.

The partnership between our police officers and firefighters is essential—working side by side and always putting the safety of our community first. We’re grateful for the teamwork, dedication, and mutual respect that makes a difference every single day.
Here’s to all of our first responders—thank you for everything you do!

At approximately 11:01 a.m., Crisp County 911 received a call regarding a drowning at a residence on Aberdeen Cir.

First responders from multiple agencies immediately responded to the scene involving two three-year-old children.

Upon arrival, first responders administered life-saving measures, and both children were transported to Crisp Regional Hospital, where they tragically did not survive.

As is standard procedure for this type of incident, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has been requested and is assisting our agency with the ongoing investigation.

We extend our appreciation to the Crisp County Sheriff's Office, Cordele Fire Department, Crisp County Fire Department, Crisp County EMS, Crisp Regional Hospital, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Crisp County Coroner's Office, and CAAA Security for their assistance.

Out of respect for the family and the integrity of the investigation, specific details are not being released.

We ask that the community keep the family and all those affected in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
