Happy Boss's Day, Matt! 🎉

We help businesses take care of their people, and we learned from the best.
We asked the Whirks crew to share a compliment for Matt Patrick, and the love was real.

He's generous, he's funny, he's endlessly ambitious, and nothing makes him happier than doing something for someone else. He's also never met a situation he couldn't explain with a sports analogy. ⚾ 🏈 🏀 🎾 ⛳

Matt, thank you for making this a great place to work and for making sure every one of us feels appreciated. We appreciate you right back! 💙

Happy birthday, Mike! 🥳
Mike has been part of Whirks for 12 years, and he's the one our team, clients, and partners call when something needs to get figured out. Whether he's on stage at a conference or working through a tricky payroll question, he makes people feel like they've got someone in their corner.
He's a leader, a teacher, and the biggest cheerleader this team has. Happy birthday, Mike, from your Whirks family! 💚

Warm feet, warm hearts. That’s what SOCKtober is all about. 🧦

All October long, we’re filling baskets and boxes with new socks for Memphians experiencing homelessness. Everything we collect goes to The Dorothy Day House and Memphis Union Mission Moriah.

You can drop off socks at our office: 7345 Goodlett Farms Parkway, Suite 101, in Cordova.
Or order online through our Amazon Wishlist: https://a.co/aKaOCV2

Every pair helps someone stay a little warmer this winter. Thank you, Memphis!

🌟 Happy ! 🌟

We’re in the business of supporting small businesses, and reviews like this one from Kamlesh Patel of Patel Family Medical Center remind us we’re doing it right:

“Melissa is excellent with payroll and is always willing to help with any problems. Whenever we ask for help, they respond almost immediately.”

Thank you, Kamlesh! We’re cheering for you. 💙

🎉 It's Melissa's birthday, and we're celebrating one of the best in the business!🥇
Melissa has spent nearly 5 years as a Client Success Specialist at Whirks, helping small business owners with payroll. She's the calm voice on the other end of the line when something goes sideways, and she always finds a way to fix it. 🙌

She'll tell you the best part of her job is the people: long-term client relationships and the occasional chance to laugh at ourselves together. Our clients feel the difference, and so do we. 🥳 Happy birthday, Melissa! We hope your day is as great as you are.

🎂 Happy birthday to John, our Client Journey Specialist!
John is the teammate our Whirks clients can always count on. He builds real relationships, listens closely, and makes every part of working with us feel easy.

For someone so laid-back, John sure knows how to surprise you. He keeps his coffee simple, but his dance moves are a whole different story. Every step of "Greased Lightnin'"? Nailed it. 🕺
Happy birthday, John. We're so glad you're on our team!

Payroll people at Game Night are a lot more competitive than you might guess. 🃏 🎲

Last week, our whole crew, including a few remote teammates we don't see in person nearly enough, took over the Memphis office for Firm Conference. We trained, we talked through some big questions under this year's theme, Challenge It, and we made sure AfterWhirks got plenty of attention too.

Watch the recap and tell us which moment you'd want to jump into. 👇

🌟 is here! 🌟

We're so grateful for clients like Denise Fowler from LoveWell Hospice who took the time to share this:

"I use Whirks for payroll/HR for our small agency and would wholeheartedly recommend them. Their payroll software makes it easy to process payroll and run reports. More importantly, their help desk is VERY responsive and always answers my questions."

Thank you, Denise! 💙

10 years of Rose!
Today Matt presented Roseann Heckendorf with her 10-year anniversary award, and 10 years still doesn't quite cover everything she does around here.
As our Client Care Coordinator, Rose is the one who makes sure nothing slips through the cracks. Documents, deadlines, tracking, follow-ups, the hundred little details that keep a client's month running on time. If you're a client of ours, Rose has probably saved your day at some point and you never even knew it happened.
Our favorite thing about her? The attitude. Rose doesn't just keep our systems humming, she helps us build better ones. And the team feels it. Around here she's protected like an institution, which is how we ended up with an unofficial sixth firm value: Don't yell at Rose.

Help us celebrate her in the comments. Thank you for 10 years, Rose. We're lucky to have you!
