Graveside Services Celebrating the Life of Donald will be at 11:30 am Thursday October 22,2026 at Henry Cemetery with Bro. Mickey Trammel officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10am until 11am at Memorial Funeral Home.

Donald Jones, a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, and accomplished professional musician, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, music, and cherished memories.

Donald grew up in Jackson, Tennessee, before he and his wife, Nancy, made their home in Corinth, Mississippi, in 2003.

Music was not simply a hobby for Donald; it was his life’s passion and profession. An exceptionally talented pianist, Donald dedicated much of his life to music. His talents extended far beyond playing the piano, as he was also skilled in tuning and repairing them. He owned and operated a piano store, sharing his knowledge, craftsmanship, and love of music with countless people throughout the years. Whether his hands were bringing a beautiful melody to life or carefully restoring an instrument to its finest sound, Donald had a remarkable gift for making music.

When Donald wasn’t making music, there was a good chance he was watching baseball. He was a devoted fan of both the Atlanta Braves and the St. Louis Cardinals, proving that even the most talented people can have questionable loyalties when it comes to baseball! Somehow, he managed to cheer for two National League rivals, and his family loved him anyway.

Donald shared 26 years of marriage with his loving wife, Nancy Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Jones and his mother Brooxie Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jones; his children, Bonita Jarret (Bob), Ken Jones (Rachel), Bryan Jones, his three stepsons, Paul Bettis, George Bettis, and Frank Bettis (Kim).

He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Donald’s legacy will live on not only through the family he loved but also through the music he shared, the instruments he brought back to life, and the countless memories he created along the way.

Though his earthly performance has come to an end, the beautiful melodies of his life will echo in the hearts of those who loved him forever. And we can only imagine that somewhere in Heaven, Donald has already found a piano to play—one that, for once, doesn’t need tuning.

Glen-William "Bill” Dwight Strickland, Jr., passed away Monday, October 19, 2026, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was born October 5, 1942, to the late William Dwight Strickland, Sr. and Margaret Joslin Strickland. He was a Baptist, served in the National Guard, worked in the Real Estate business; owned and operated Century 21.

To say that he, as well as Aunt Barbara will be missed, does not sufficiently describe the feeling. They were a giant presence in all of our lives and may the memories continue to be shared by two brothers; Robert Strickland and Jimmy Strickland, both of Glen; three sisters in law, Mary Lunsford of Parson, TN, Lavonne Griffin of Houston, MS and Susie Rainey (David) of Corinth, MS; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Missy) Hancock of Houston, MS, J Lunsford (Carol) of Parsons, TN, Angie Terry of Decatur, AL, Lesley Fortune (Jason) of Savannah, TN, Shane Castile (Mandy) of Corinth, MS, Shana Cook (Kerry) of Corinth, MS, Jessica Pettit (Tyler) of Houston, MS, Erin Baker (Jake) of Corinth, MS; and a host of great nieces and nephews, all that he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, Barbara Ann Voyles Strickland on June 29, 2022.

A Celebration of Life Service for Bill will be 2:00pm Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Farmington Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Rainey, Shane Castile, Jake Baker, J Lunsford, Josh Lunsford and Jason Fortune.

Honorary pallbearers will be Coleman Baker, Jesse Linam, James Lunsford and Banks Dodd.

A Celebration of Life Service for Diann Devers 76, is set for 1:00 pm Wednesday at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Westmoreland and Bro. Kara Blackard officiating. Burial will follow in the Wheeler Grove Church Cemetery.

Family and Friends Gathering will be from 12:00 to service time at the church.

Diann died October 18, 2026, at her residence in the Wheeler Grove community after an extended illness. She was born May 19, 1950, in Booneville, MS. To the late Luther and Ruby Miller. She was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. She was a garment seamstress and worked for Phillips Nursey until she retired. She enjoyed watching TV and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Devers, parents; brothers, William Miller, James Miller, Bluford Miller; sisters, Joyce Kendrick, Shirley Lewis.

She is survived by her sisters, Doris King, Lois Hooper; special granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Hooper; and a host of other family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen Patricia Lowry will be 11:30am on Friday October 23, 2026 at Saint James Catholic Church with burial to follow at Corinth National Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22 from 5pm until 7pm at Memorial Funeral Home and from 10am until service time at the church on Friday.

Helen passed away at her residence on October 15, 2026. Born on March 13, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Christopher Albert and Helen Vehstedt.

Throughout her career, Helen served as a food service manager at Skidmore College and Vassar College in New York. Outside of work, Helen found great joy in cooking and entertaining. She loved bringing people together, sharing meals, and making others feel welcome. Her family and friends were especially important to her, and she treasured the time they spent together.

Helen also enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, where she found pleasure in nature and the simple things in life. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she was an active and devoted member of Saint James Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husbands, David Wright and John Wallace Lowry; grandson, Ryan Daniel Palmeri; brother, Pete Vehstedt and sister, Joan Bellmore.

Helen is survived by her children, Thomas Francis Palmeri, Patrick Joseph Palmeri, Robert Jack Palmeri and Patricia Eileen Palmeri; grandchildren, Thomas Andrew Palmeri, Alex Christopher Palmeri, Conner James Palmeri and Jack Thomas Palmeri; and a host of other family and friends.

A service to celebrate the life of Betty Jones, 91, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Farmington Baptist Church with burial to follow in Farmington Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Betty passed away on Friday October 16, 2026 at her assisted living facility in Florence, AL. She was born In Savannah, TN on August 1, 1935 to the late Mose and Lillian Saunders Harmon. She retired from Wurlitzer and also worked at ITT. She was a faithful member of Farmington Baptist Church where she was devoted to her church. She sang in the choir and was the Sunday School class secretary for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jones; brothers, Mose Harmon Jr. and Kenneth Harmon; sisters, Dorothy Mangum, Ann Nunnley, Gail Guill and Nancy Hamon.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Jones (Ginny) of Killen, AL; grandson, Jacob Jones of Knoxville; brothers, Jerry Harmon (Teresa), Gary Harmon (Mary) both of Bossier City, LA, Tommy Harmon (Barbara) of McGee, MS, Ray Harmon (Ann) of Columbus, OH, Jackie Harmon (Joan) of Southaven, Robert Harmon (Barbara), Terry Harmon (Wanda) both of Corinth; sister, Doris Kissner of Rossville, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Bro. Terry Harmon, Jr., Bro. Steve Howell and Bro. John Little will officiate the service.

Rosemary Harris Brown, 83, passed on Friday, October 9, 2026. She was born on April 15, 1943 to the late Herbert Carlisle Harris, Jr. and Elizabeth "Betsy" Jacoway Harris. She graduated from Auburn University.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Herbert Carlisle Harris, III and granddaughter, Sally Wade Crommelin.

She is survived by daughters, Jane Huston Crommelin (Claiborne) and Kathryn Brown Lee (Allan); grandchildren, Gunter Moren Crommelin Crane (Mabry), Henry Claiborne Crommelin, Jr., William Huston Crommelin, Allan Spencer Lee, Jr. (Georgia), and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Lee Cleaver (Craig); and five great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Marriott Shoals Terrace from 12 noon to 2pm. A private interment will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church.

Margaret Gunn Rutledge, 88, died Sunday, October 11, 2026. Born June 14, 1938, in Tippah Co., MS, she was the daughter of the late Graham Guyton Hopper Sr. and Clestie Helen Dowen Hopper. Margaret was a graduate of Walnut High School and lived a life marked by steadfast devotion—faithful in her commitments, and beloved by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A longtime active member of Tate Baptist Church until her health decline, Margaret’s faith was a steady presence throughout her life. She also demonstrated quiet dedication through her work, retiring from J.C. Penny after over 35 years of service. In the everyday moments, she found genuine enjoyment in working puzzles, tending to her flowers, and collecting lighthouse ceramics. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and with her beloved cat, “Wally.”

She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Neal Dean Gunn; her parents; and her brother, Guyton “Buck” Hopper Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Don Rutledge; sons, Mike Gunn (Wanda), Kevin Gunn, and Robert Gunn; daughters, Sharon Gunn and Gayle Moss (Dallas); step-daughters, Denise Rutledge, Melinda Hamlin, and Deborah Jackson; grandchildren, Brandon Gunn (Roxie), Dallas Moss III, Robert Christenson, Abegail Gunn, Natalie Gunn, Jaden Gunn, and Lauren, Nick, Hannah, Mallory, Kelsey, Mark Matt; and also 13 of great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home, with Bro. Mickey Trammel officiating and Dr. Carl Weeden delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Tippersville Cemetery.

Family and Friends Gathering will be Friday from 11:00 am to service time.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Gunn, Dallas Moss Jr., Dallas Moss III, Bryce Gunn, Robbie Christenson, Bobby Gunn, and Parker Gunn.

Michael Lee Seago entered eternity on October 6, 2026, at Panama City Beach, FL. That was his favorite place to be with his family. He was born September 15, 1981, to Larry K. Seago and Mary Kathryn Graeber. Mike graduated from Kossuth High School in 2000 and went on to obtain a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). He was employed by Caterpillar as a Demand & Orders Analyst II in Engine Assembly.

Mike had a larger-than-life personality and was loved by all who knew him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Mike’s priority was his family and his extended family. He married his high school sweetheart, Whitney Tsagarakis. They had one son, Ki. Being Ki’s dad was Mike’s greatest joy. If he wasn’t watching him play soccer or football, you could find them hunting and fishing. Mike loved all of his family, but he was especially close to his sister, Tina, and his niece, Anna Kathryn. He felt very blessed to have his Uncle Charles, whom he loved like another father.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Whitney Tsagarakis Seago; son, Christopher Malaki (Ki) Seago; his sisters, Tina Seago Tyson and Lindy Jo Seago-Mills (Ben); brother, Shawn Seago; mother-in-law, Sheila Essary Tsagarakis; stepmother, Nita Seago; stepfather, Robert Graeber; brother-in-law, Democratis Demetrios (Demmy) Tsagarakis (Kayla Williams); nieces, Anna Kathryn Jones-Tyson (Meagan), Madi Jo Mills, Marli Mills, and Memory Mills.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Knox Seago; mother, Kathryn Briggs Seago Graeber; grandparents, Kerry Lawrence and Frances Lamberth Seago, Cleate and Carrie Lee Briggs; brothers, Christopher Jerry Seago, Gregory Lawrence Seago; father-in-law, Demetrios Democratis (Jimmy) Tsagarakis; nephew, Mason Mills; and special friend, Jerry Gant.

A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.

Susan Elaine Defoor, 73, passed away on October 10, 2026 at her residence.

Susan was born on February 5, 1956, to the late Charles and Marguerite Bloyd. She attended high school in Haleyville, Alabama, and later in life returned to nursing school at Northeast Mississippi Community College, earning her LPN license. Susan enjoyed reading, especially cherished reading the Bible. However, Susan enjoyed the most was spending time with her family and her childhood best friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary Bloyd and Bruce Bloyd.

Susan is survived by her husband, Larry Wayne Defoor; daughters, Amy Selmon and Amber Fuller (Trae); grandchildren, Malachi Selmon (Bella), Isaiah Selmon, Elsie Dilworth, Caden Park (Larissa), Ethan Park, Madison Fuller, and Mason Fuller; great grandchildren, Shiloh Selmon, Selah Selmon, and Sage Selmon; brother, Keith Bloyd. and her longtime childhood friends.
