From “Just Married” to “Just Sold” 🏡💙
Back in 2020, I had the honor of helping a young couple-newlyweds, buy their very first home. I remember their excitement like it was yesterday: the nervous energy of signing on the dotted line, the laughter and excitement to finally have a home of their own. A quiet disbelief that it was theirs.
Fast forward to today, and I got to walk that same journey with them one more time except this chapter looked a little different. This time, it wasn’t just the two of them. It was them, plus two little boys who have only ever known that house as home. The backyard where they played. The kitchen that saw a thousand special meals. The bedroom walls that watched them grow from nursery to “big boy” rooms.
As we sat down to sign the final paperwork, there were smiles but there was sadness too. Bittersweet doesn’t even begin to cover it. This house held their beginning as a family. And now, they’re moving on to build new memories in a brand new construction home, ready for the next chapter.
Getting to be part of a family’s story not just once, but twice from newlyweds to a family of four is exactly why I do what I do. It’s never just a transaction. It’s watching lives unfold, one home at a time.
