We recently resolved an unusual customer service issue that we thought was worth sharing.

After months of difficult-to-diagnose internet performance problems, our technical team discovered that the cause wasn't the customer's internet connection or our network—it was a malware-infected streaming device inside the customer's home. The device was generating malicious traffic as part of botnet activity and overwhelming the customer's own network equipment.

What made this case particularly significant was how closely the symptoms resembled an internet service problem. It was only through the visibility provided by our managed Wi-Fi platform, combined with extensive investigation by our technical team and ultimately an on-site visit, that we were able to identify and eliminate the actual cause.

We've attached a brief incident bulletin explaining what happened, how it affected the customer, and why this experience demonstrates the growing importance of managed Wi-Fi and knowledgeable technical support as homes become increasingly connected.

We hope you'll take a few minutes to read it.

Thank you for trusting us with your connection.

If you have put a Range Extender at your home and start having issues or continue to have issues please call the office so we can help you. Range Extenders are ok but a lot of times they are not placed correctly or programmed correctly by customers. When they fail your devices will cut on and off the Internet. We are here to help you.
