Fall is approaching! Have you ever considered that your books might benefit from decluttering and a bit of reorganization and review?

Here are four tips for spring cleaning your bookkeeping:

1. Review and reconcile your accounts. Review bank, credit card, and other financial statements to ensure they match your records.

2. “Deep clean” your accounts receivable to review all outstanding invoices. Connect with your clients/customers to make sure you get that payment.

3. Review your vendor and customer information and make any necessary updates for accuracy.

4. Keep all your receipts and invoices in one place, and consider using a digital system to store them for easy access.

Do you need to clean up your finances? Don’t be embarrassed, and don’t worry about getting it done!
