Our own Nathan Nicholson opened Propane Days on the Hill in Washington, DC, with a welcome greeting from the Four Corners. Propane marketers and industry leaders from across the country participated in more than 280 meetings with members of Congress and their staff to advocate for issues affecting our industry and the customers we serve. Key discussions focused on protecting consumer energy choice through the Energy Choice Act and preserving funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), both of which are critical to propane consumers nationwide.

Representing Colorado and New Mexico, we had the opportunity to meet personally with several members of our congressional delegations, including Representative Hurd. These meetings allowed us to share the unique energy needs of rural communities and discuss the vital role propane plays in providing safe, reliable, and affordable energy for homes, farms, ranches, and businesses.

Advocacy efforts like these help ensure that the voices of propane customers and local propane providers are heard as federal energy policies are developed and considered.
