Disclaimer: I am not a mycologist, but an artist with a severe enthusiasm for mushrooms & forest ecosystems. There are many morphologies & structural adaptations fungi use for reproduction.
I do not intend this to be comprehensive, but if you want to hop in the comments and talk about the myriad representations of these two general terms, I fully encourage that.
