This Christian influencer just said something that should make every pastor, preacher, and Christian influencer stop and think.

“Don’t follow me. Follow Jesus.”

Okay, maybe those weren’t his exact words, but that’s the heart of the message. 👇

Here’s the truth: I’m flawed. You’re flawed. Every pastor, worship leader, Christian creator, and ministry leader is flawed.

We all need Jesus.

The goal was never to build a following around a personality. It was always to point people toward a Savior.

So please, don’t blindly believe everything someone says just because they have a platform, a title, or a microphone.

Ask yourself: Does this align with God’s Word?

Does their life reflect the character of Jesus?

Are they pointing you toward Christ or making you dependent on them?

1 Thessalonians 5:21 says, “Test everything; hold fast what is good.”

Respect your leaders. Learn from them. Be encouraged by them.

But never put a human being on the pedestal that belongs to Jesus.

Because pastors can fail. Influencers can get it wrong. Teachers can misunderstand Scripture.

But Jesus is still the standard.

The goal isn’t to become more like your favorite Christian influencer.

It’s to become more like Christ.

Always Jesus. Always His Word. 🙏

As amazing as online connections can be, there’s something different about being physically plugged into a local church.

A place where you’re known.
Where you can serve, give, love on people, and experience that same love in return.
Where you’re encouraged, challenged, prayed for, and reminded that life isn’t meant to be done alone.

I recently moved and went through the process of finding a new church.

And honestly, it took longer than I expected.

But that season reminded me just how much we need this.

You can watch sermons online, listen to worship music, follow incredible Christian leaders, and build relationships through social media.

But there’s something powerful about showing up, being present, and becoming part of a local body of believers.

And yes, I believe it affects your business, too.

The people you surround yourself with shape your perspective, your character, your decisions, and the way you steward what God has entrusted to you.

Sometimes the breakthrough you’re praying for isn't another strategy, another connection, or another opportunity.

Sometimes it's finding your people.

Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us to encourage one another and not give up meeting together.

Church isn't just somewhere you attend. It's a family you get to be part of.

So if you've been trying to do life alone, consider this your reminder: find your church, get plugged in, and start serving.

You might be surprised by what God does through the community you almost talked yourself out of joining.

Proverbs 11:25 says, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”

Read that again.

What if the secret to growing your business isn’t just about making more money, landing more clients, or finding the next big strategy?

What if it starts with how you serve people?

Jesus didn’t come to be served. He came to serve.

And if we’re going to follow His example, that should change how we approach everything—including business.

When I work with a client, create content, or step into a new opportunity, I try to ask myself one question:

“How can I give more? How can I serve better? How can I genuinely help someone?”

Not just, “What can I get out of this?”

Because people aren’t just transactions. They’re people God has called us to love, serve, and bless.

And when you make helping others your priority, you build something far more valuable than revenue. You build trust, meaningful relationships, and a reputation that reflects Christ.

Generosity isn’t just about money. It’s about your time, your wisdom, your effort, and your willingness to put others first.

You don’t have to choose between building a successful business and honoring God.

You can do both by making service the foundation of how you lead.

So here’s my challenge for you today:

Stop asking only what you can gain.

Start asking how you can give.

Because when you refresh others, you position yourself to be refreshed, too.

What if the hardest truth for some Christians to admit is that they believe in Jesus… but aren’t fully surrendered to Him?

It’s a conversation we don’t always want to have.

Because following Jesus sounds amazing until He starts asking us to change the things we’ve grown comfortable with.

The habits we justify.

The decisions we know aren’t honoring Him.

The areas of our lives we want Him to bless without actually giving Him control.

And trust me, I get it.

There’s a difference between believing in Jesus and truly following Him.

When I made the decision to fully surrender my life to Christ, something changed.

I started allowing the Holy Spirit to convict me—not just in my personal life, but in my daily decisions, my business, my relationships, and the way I showed up when nobody was watching.

And here’s what I discovered…

Conviction isn’t God trying to take away your joy.

It’s Him leading you into a life that’s better than the one you’ve been settling for.

Following Jesus will challenge your comfort, expose your blind spots, and sometimes require you to let go of things you thought you couldn’t live without.

But what you gain in His presence is worth more than anything you surrender.

You don’t have to be perfect to follow Jesus. You just have to be willing to let Him lead.

So if the Holy Spirit has been nudging you about something lately, don’t ignore it.

Your next level of freedom might be on the other side of your obedience.

What if your destiny isn’t something you have to find… but something God is ready to reveal as you walk with Him? 👀

Ephesians 2:10 says God created us in Christ Jesus for good works that He prepared in advance for us to do.

Think about that for a moment.

God has already gone ahead of you.

There are people He wants you to encourage, opportunities He wants you to step into, and moments where your obedience could make an eternal difference.

You don’t have to figure out your entire future today.

You just need to listen for His leading and be willing to take the next step.

Sometimes we miss what God is revealing because we’re waiting for the entire blueprint when He’s only asking us to trust Him with the next step.

We want the five-year plan.

God says, “Take the next step with Me.”

We want all the answers.

He invites us to walk by faith.

Psalm 119:105 says His Word is “a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

Notice that a lamp illuminates the next steps, not necessarily the entire journey.

So stop stressing about whether you’re missing your destiny.

Get in His Word. Spend time in His presence. Pay attention to His prompting. And be faithful with what He’s already placed in front of you.

God is faithful to lead you as you learn to follow.

Your job isn’t to know every step.

Your job is to trust the One who does.

This Christian influencer just said something that might make some pastors and religious leaders uncomfortable… 👀

“I’m not telling people to follow my ways. I’m flawed. I’ve messed up. I need Jesus in my life.”

Read that again.

Because somewhere along the way, we can start putting Christian leaders on a pedestal and forget that they need Jesus just as much as we do.

Pastors, influencers, worship leaders, and Christian creators aren’t the standard. Jesus is.

The question isn’t, “Do I like this person?” or “Do they have a huge following?”

The question is, “Are they pointing me toward Jesus? Does what they’re teaching line up with God’s Word?”

Even the most gifted communicator can get something wrong. A massive platform doesn’t automatically make someone biblically correct, and a powerful testimony doesn’t make someone above correction.

That’s why we need discernment.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 says, “Test all things; hold fast what is good.”

Listen to your favorite pastors. Learn from Christian creators. Be encouraged by people God is using.

But never let someone’s personality, popularity, or influence replace your personal relationship with Jesus.

We don’t follow people blindly. We follow Jesus faithfully.

Because at the end of the day, the goal was never to become more like an influencer.

The goal has always been to become more like Christ.

Let this be a reminder to keep your eyes on Jesus, your heart humble, and your Bible open.
