This Labor Day Weekend at Turtle Run Winery. Saturday, the additional tastings continue with older vintages added to the wine tasting experience. No idea what older wines we'll feature. Hey, it's Tuesday

Sunday, we dance it out to Hug It Out, a tremendously popular band with multiple talented lead singers. Music 1:30 to 5:30

Monday, rockin' and rollin' and some blues with Bluefield Soul jamming up the place. Good energy, plenty of music to dance and enjoy. Enjoy the riffs from 1:30 to 5:30.

Today, Sunday, we welcome The Linda Smith Band to Turtle Run Winery. It's gonna be a beautiful day with low humidity. Welcome to early Fall. Welcome to solar equivalency days of April.

The Linda Smith Band blends perfectly in sets of pop, rock and country. It's really amazing to hear the wide range of music selected. Music 1:30 to 5:30!

Here are the Super Six Saturday EXTRA Tastings of older vintage wines at Turtle Run Winery today. Left to right goes dry to sweet. Let's dig in!

We have Rhapsody in Red 2021 from our vineyard which is a primary blend of St. Croix and Frontenac. I haven't tasted this wine in quite sometime, so that's why I selected it.

Chambourcin: A little older, 2018. Again, I haven't tasted this wine in quite sometime, and like Rhapsody, Chambourcin from our vineyard only gets better with age.

Chardonel! Opened yesterday, I can't ID the vintage, but wow! Lots of tasty esters. Like aged apples.....

Barbera: This wine is from 2020 and like most of the reds from that year, seemingly nothing fermented to dryness. This wine was a huge hit. Lots of deep berry notes I recall.

Simply White. From 2020 too. This wine I know I have not tried in several years. Always a semi-sweet and with no added sugar, they always age well.

And on the sweet side, the original Robin's Revenge from 2018. Should be spectacular. I cannot believe how light colored it still is.

Opened today. Carbon dated, who knows when I made it, huge amount of esters….

This weekend at Turtle Run Winery we welcome the ever engaging and musically talented The Linda Smith Band from 1:30 to 5:30 on Sunday. It may be warm but it looks like the humidity is in check. Different heat than in July. Thank goodness.

On Saturday, and if asked Friday too, we'll crack open some older vintages, to sample, savor and select. Always fun and I never know what to expect. The 10 year old vignoles from last Saturday was spectacular.

The Saturday wine exploration at Turtle Run Winery will be quite comparative and old. We're opening a few single bottles of older vintages and a few oldies to compare to the current wines on the list. And perhaps one waiting in the wings, blended and bottled this week due to the inventory of the current version running low. Which version is better?
