Our Collab staff introductions continue with a familiar face: Gracie!

If you’ve spent time at the Collab over the past year, chances are you’ve already met her. Gracie has been a fun and steady presence on our team, always ready to jump into a new project or finding a creative solution when needed. She’s a dreamer and a doer, and we’ve loved having her on the Collab team!

One of her favorite parts of the role is getting to connect with people, help with social media content, and seeing all the new events, businesses, and ideas happening throughout the building.

A few things we’ve learned about Gracie:

A pottery workshop is high on her Collab wish list.

If she’s hitting an afternoon slump, there’s a good chance she’s reaching for a Bloom Pop or a Bubl’r.

Her favorite unnecessary purchase? A new outfit for every occasion.

One thing she’s learned while working here: communication goes a long way, and you don’t have to be perfect to be good at what you do.

And if you’ve recently noticed a Collab presence on TikTok, she is excited to step into a bigger role helping grow our newest social media channel.

It’s an exciting season for Gracie. Outside of the Collab, she’s looking forward to celebrating one year of Banners by Gracie, a sweet senior year, and volleyball season.

We’re grateful for the creativity, initiative, servant attitude and positive energy Gracie brings to the team and can’t wait to see what this next year holds for her, both at the Collab and beyond.

Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and progress.

The Coshocton Collaborative is closed today in observance of the holiday. We encourage our community to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this day and the stories that continue to shape our shared future.

We look forward to welcoming you back during normal business hours tomorrow.

Our staff introductions continue with Alexa!

Alexa is one of those people who is always willing to jump in and help. Whether it’s a project, a task, or something completely unexpected, she’s a go-getter! She has brought a positive energy to the team from day one. We appreciate her willingness to learn, her strong work ethic, and the way she shows up for the people around her.

What we’ve learned about Alexa so far:

Coffee before a brainstorming session is a must.

Her organizational system includes color coded sticky notes & a day by day to do list.

Collab jams over instrumental music every time. Her words, she’d probably fall asleep listening to instrumentals.

Vacation destinations: even though she loves the mountains, she’d rather be beachside.

We’re grateful to have Alexa on the team and can’t wait to see what she continues to accomplish!

Welcome to the team, Alexa!

Our Collab staff introductions continue with Jon!

Jon’s story with the Collab actually started long before he joined the team. After growing up in Coshocton, getting married, and raising his family here, Jon moved away in 1995 for work. When he retired and returned to Coshocton in 2021, one of the first things he wanted to do was get involved in the momentum and revitalization happening throughout the community.

As he watched the work of the Port Authority and the Coshocton Collaborative, he knew he wanted to be part of bringing new ideas, businesses, and opportunities to Coshocton. After volunteering at Collab events and spending plenty of time in the coworking space, he eventually had a realization, “Hey, why not get paid for the time I’m spending there?” We’re certainly glad he did!!

A few things we’ve learned about Jon:

He’s a morning brainstorm kind of person and firmly believes the best ideas happen early in the day.

Tea is usually his drink of choice, unless Hannah is involved in the brainstorming session. Then apparently an energy drink becomes necessary.

If the Collab ever needs a podcast host, Jon has already volunteered himself. His reasoning? “If you’ve noticed, I’m a talker.”

His dream dinner guest is Ronald Reagan because he loved food and was a great storyteller.

And if the Collab ever gets a mascot, Jon’s only request is that Chrissy has to wear the costume.

Jon is excited about the future of the Collaborative and the reopening of the Pastime Theater. We love to see him continuing to invest in the community he has called home for so many years. In fact, he’s already put his name in to be the head usher when the theater reopens.

We’re grateful Jon chose to turn his volunteer hours into work hours and bring his experience, ideas, and heart for Coshocton to the Collaborative!

Welcome to the team, Jon!

Our Collab staff introductions continue with Avah!

Avah recently graduated from the Coshocton County Career Center’s Business program and has already stepped into the Collab with a mindset we love: meeting new people, building connections, and wanting to make a positive impact in our community. If you’ve met her already, you know this is true about her! Outside of work, she’s usually found reading a good book, traveling with her twin sister Victoria, or spending time with her cat.

A few things we’ve learned about Avah so far:

Morning or night person? She’s very much a late-night hustle kind of person… mornings are for sleeping in.

Music in the workspace? Collab jams only. Total silence is not the vibe.

Afternoon drink of choice: an iced coffee from the Collab café. She’s still trying to get the recipe right … aren’t we all? 😅

Desk plants: essential. And honestly, the more the better, they’re a total vibe.

And when it comes to Collab projects, she doesn’t hesitate. Do we maybe see podcasting in our future?!

We’re excited to have Avah on the team and even more excited to see her confidence and connections grow as she gets plugged into the community!

Welcome to the team, Avah!

We’ve been dropping hints, and now it’s finally time.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be introducing (and reintroducing) our team, starting with Morgan!

Morgan spends most of the year teaching middle school students, but she’s spending her summer at the Collab helping create a space where people can do their best work. She’s already become the kind of team member every organization hopes for by noticing the little things, coming up with ways to improve them, and making the Collab an even more efficient workplace.

When she’s not at the Collab, you can usually find her leading worship on the weekends, enjoying a drive in her Jeep, or spending time near the river.

A few things we’ve learned about Morgan:

She works best with instrumental music playing in the background (otherwise she’s singing instead of working).

She firmly believes multiple monitors are a necessity, not a luxury.

She prefers a quiet office over a coffee shop because she’s far too interested in what everyone else is doing.

And if you stop by and see a Bloom Pop nearby, there’s a good chance it’s hers.

We’re excited to have Morgan on the team this summer and even more excited for you to meet the rest of the people helping make the Collab a welcoming place to work and connect!

Welcome to the team, Morgan!!!

Good teams don’t happen by accident.

They grow through shared experiences, good conversations, a willingness to learn, and people who genuinely care about showing up for one another.

One of the best parts of what we do is getting to welcome new people into the story. We’ve been spending time together, sharing ideas, learning, laughing, and getting ready for a busy season at the Collab.

We’re excited to introduce some new team members soon and reintroduce a few familiar faces, too.

Happy Birthday, Amy! ☀️

One of our favorite things about Amy is the way she brings warmth wherever she goes. Whether she’s spending time with family, soaking up some sunshine, or helping out behind the scenes, she has a way of making people feel welcome and cared for.

We’re grateful to have her as part of the Collab community and hope her birthday is filled with the people she loves, plenty of sunshine, and all of her favorites.

Help us wish Amy a happy birthday! 🎉
