Last week marked a major milestone for HallPass Media, , and in Los Angeles during NBA All-Star Weekend.
Operating out of the E-Central Hotel, we created Summer League Central, a hub for all , , , and events throughout the week. This was a new concept we wanted to try. After 20-plus years of attending NBA All-Star Games, we literally hit a wall by trying to be in multiple places at once and meeting up with everyone we could for five minutes in an unproductive fashion… it just seemed like insanity, so we tried something different.
Having one central place for our brands, our partners, our people… we created a LIVING ROOM for everyone to gather. Not only was it successful, but it was so rewarding, and everyone was receptive to the concept. Sure, we didn’t see all the people we normally might, but we spent QUALITY TIME with the ones who matter most, and we were able to have productive sessions and make substantial headway on our projects during the week. Our model worked, and we’re already thinking about PHOENIX in 2027.
A few of the highlights featured an unreal SBC Expansion Draft, Podcasts featuring Kevin Garnett , , NBA Photos’ , , , and friends with The Underground Lounge, live shows, a fun-filled NBA Summer League Fan Experience at NBA Crossover, and a historic night to launch the 2026 ! Followed all of that up with a star-studded Saturday Changemakers Brunch hosted by Sandra Brunson and the capper…a Regional Qualifier Event with .
Whew… a ton for anyone in one week, but it’s just how we like it, and now it’s Time to Roll! Grateful to our entire staff and everyone who helped make it truly a special week.
