Happy New Year, Verde Valley!!!

How spectacular it is to ceremoniously and annually reflect on our lives with the advantage to pick and choose what has brought us success and joy as opposed to what might have made us stumble or led us to discouragement.
We have the opportunity and blessing to apply new standards for ourselves so that we may better customize our lives into fitting into that which truly motivates and inspires us.

I truly believe each and every one of us are on this earth for a special purpose, so we challenge ourselves to show up to each and every day with thankful hearts and kindness toward others. We are brothers and sisters in this great family of life, and we ought to look out for one another as though we are- each and every one of us- connected, because we are!

I’m happy to call this place my home and all of you my neighbors.

May we all thrive and build and nourish in the coming year. Leave all trials in the past and allow yourself the freedom to accept what has past and embrace what is to come. Our world is so far more malleable than we give ourselves credit as its sculptors.

May God bless you all in 2023! ❤️

The holidays are here, and that means many things for so many people!
For most, it means family-gatherings, decorations, a feast, some eggnog, a tree, Christmas carols, celebration, perhaps a kiss under the mistletoe…

But what is mistletoe exactly?

It’s what we see in the trees in many areas throughout the Verde Valley after the leaves have fallen away.
Their big, bushy, pretty to look at, but these venomous little parasites are eating away at the life of your tree.
The presence of mistletoe in your tree may also contribute spreading them to other nearby trees via bird f***s, and they’re very capable of killing their hosts from the inside out.
The birds, to explain, will feast on the berries of mistletoe and will then defecate on other trees in the area.
This will, then, spread like a virus.

It’s wise to have it removed from your trees. We removed them from this Ash earlier today, and we also cleared the dead branches and gave the lead some room to breath, grow, and receive more glorious Arizona sun.

Apart from that, if you’re curious like I was, I looked up why anyone would want to kiss under a parasitic berry, and this is a good summary of what I found:

“The tradition of kissing under the mistletoe started in ancient Greece, during the festival of Saturnalia and later in marriage ceremonies, because of the plant's association with fertility. During the Roman era, enemies at war would reconcile their differences under the mistletoe, which to them represented peace. Romans also decorated their houses and temples with mistletoe in midwinter to please their gods.”

Can’t hurt to learn!

We’ll share more soon, but in the meantime, keep your chin up! (And if you see us up in the trees, give us a wave!)

Do you like that feeling when you fall asleep on your arm and put it to sleep? Those pins and needles?
This is a cross-branch and never good for a tree. Either one branch, the other, or both will suffer and potentially die. The nutrients struggle to get to the ends of the branch much like the blood struggles to get to our fingertips in the event of the aforementioned scenario.

If you see this occurring in your tree- especially on branches reaching over your home- you will certainly want to correct it at your earliest convenience.

I’d like to explain to the beautiful Verde Valley very openly what our business model reflects, as I can understand the hesitancy in trusting a new company, and in sharing our vision, I believe you will come to appreciate our insight to this industry and better understand why we want to keep our operation small without negatively affecting safety, effectiveness, or least of all, your concerns, costs and experience in using our services.

One idea to keep in mind is that we will be in as much or as little contact as each customer prefers, because some of you aren’t planning to have your trees worked on till after the holidays, we’re happy to give you a free estimate at any time, because our purpose is to give you some peace of mind to what expenses you may be facing in undertaking such a project.

Franklin and I like to keep things simple in that with a signature and a handshake, we’re able to save you countless overages in our personal expenses in that we work for ourselves and will not add to your bill the numerous wages that come with having a large crew; workman’s comp; insurance; etc.

We are professionally trained to take on any sort of tree you can think of having learned rigging techniques, proper pruning, safety protocols, and avoidance in any and all structure damages. We are thorough, considerate, and have years of experience in all sorts of jobs that require a learned wisdom practiced.

We understand, too, that times are a bit tougher in terms of economy just now, so we are also willing to consider and negotiate payment plans for those of you who would like to see the work completed without worrying about feeding your families or keeping the heat on this winter.

We are local, independent, and take on each job as the Lord tells us to take on each day.

“Therefor do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:34
