West Valley Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary will have up for auction our 1978 International Calfire (C.D.F.) model 9 fire engine. In good working order. Was in service up until 2 months ago. The only reason it was retired is the Volunteer Fire Co received a new type 3 engine.

Powered by a DT 466 motor (upgraded in 1995 from the original gas engine)
500 GPM (gallons per minute) powered by a separate John Deere 6 cylinder motor
Dual use wildland or structural defense.

Includes:
Floodlights
Small Honda generator for aux lighting and power.
Ladder (tested 2025)
Siren but no radios
2 - 3/4” hardlines
Deck gun (water)
184253 miles on the odometer (but not the motor)

The AUCTION will be live at our annual chili feed and auction on November 7th, 2026.

Minimum starting bid is $4500
Silent auction items start at 5:15 and Live auction items start at 6:00. The engine will be part of the live auction.

Today Water tender 55 was called to assist with water supply for the saddle fire and Blue fire. While Sta. 55 had personnel to cover the station and respond to medical aids in the area.

Early Sunday morning we responded with our water tender to assist with water supply for a fire at the clear Creek dump.
