About a year and a half ago, we made a decision we didn't think we’d ever make for our business — we decided to stop taking events in July & August of 2026.

And we’ve really loved it. ❤️

This summer has been slower, quieter and filled with so much family time, friends, travel, and a whole lot of memories made right here at home. We’ve said no to a lot of things and said YES to being present with our kids while we can. And it’s been pretty amazing.

That doesn’t mean The Acres has been completely quiet, though! We’ve still been busy giving tours, meeting with couples, booking future weddings and getting to know so many of the amazing people who have chosen The Acres for their big day.

And then there were a few special exceptions on our calendar — one of them being the Sweeney wedding. We were so happy to open our doors for them last weekend and be a small part of such a beautiful day. 🥂

🤍Congratulations to the newlyweds! Your day was absolutely beautiful, and we’re so thankful you chose The Acres to be a part of it.

And now… back to soaking up these last couple weeks of our slow summer before the kids head back to school and life picks back up again — with school, schedules, kids’ activities, sports and, of course, weddings.

We’re not quite ready for summer to end, but we’re excited for all the weddings we have coming up this fall! 🍂

🎉Happy Birthday to our favorite employee... and definitely our best animal caretaker 🐾

Nothing gets neglected around here as long as this guy is around... not even the puppies. ❤️

He's the hardest-working guy around, the first one to jump in when something needs done, and somehow still finds time to make sure every animal on the property gets a little extra attention Every. Single. Day.

Thank you for carrying more than your share, loving all of us so well, and being the heart behind so much of what makes The Acres what it is.

Life is just better when you're around. Happy Birthday! 🥳

The little things are what make a wedding day feel like yours. 🤍

Your day-of coordinator is making sure the timeline flows, the details are where they belong, and you never have to worry about what’s happening behind the scenes.

Your DJ keeps the energy going, knows when to bring the excitement, and helps create those moments everyone remembers.

Your photographer captures the hugs, the laughter, the happy tears, and the little glances you’ll want to hold onto long after the day has passed.

And here at The Acres, we get the honor of watching it all come together.

Because your wedding day isn’t just about the decorations, the flowers, or the perfect timeline. It’s about the people you love most. The family you don’t get to see nearly enough. The friends who have walked beside you through different seasons of life.

It’s about holding each other’s hands, looking around the room, and realizing… this is the moment we’ve been waiting for.

Happy 15th Birthday to one of our very own—our daughter and one of the hardest workers at The Acres! 💙

If you've been to an event here, chances are you've seen her quietly making sure everything is just right. She takes pride in every task, puts her whole heart into what she does, and genuinely cares about making your day special.

Outside of The Acres, she's just as incredible. She's up at 5:30 a.m. to get her workouts in, works hard in the classroom as an honor roll student, shines on the track, and we're convinced she's on her way to breaking the triple jump record at her school. She's also a crocheting ninja, has read more books than the rest of our family combined, and has a serious weakness for Starbucks lemon loaves. 📚🧶🍋

She's gentle with the people she loves, just ornery enough to keep us on our toes, and somehow manages to make the funniest, most ridiculous faces while also being absolutely beautiful. As our only blue-eyed child, she proudly reminds us she's our "blue-eyed miracle," and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Watching her grow into such a kind, driven, thoughtful young woman has been one of our greatest blessings. We are so proud of the person she is and even more excited to see who she becomes.

Happy 15th birthday, Memphis Belle! We love you more than words can say. 💙
