START YOUR BUSINESS: Every business needs a strong foundation before it can grow.

While not the most exciting part of entrepreneurship, this stage is vital as it eliminates roadblocks further on in the process. That includes choosing the right business structure, registering with the state, securing your tax ID, and opening a dedicated business bank account.

Take the time to understand your financial responsibilities, including building a balance sheet, choosing an accounting method, and identifying your tax obligations, licenses, and insurance needs. These steps may feel administrative, but they are what turn your idea into a real, operating business.

Ex*****on is what separates ideas from businesses.

Once your concept is validated, it is time to build, and one way to start is by developing your Minimum Viable Product, or MVP. This is a simple, functional version of your idea that you can put in front of real users. It does not need to be perfect. It needs to be testable.

From there, focus on landing your first customer and refining your Business Model Canvas by asking yourself these questions:
- How do you deliver value?
- How do you generate revenue?
- What does it take to sustain and grow?

The answers to these questions become your blueprint. Then, as you get your idea into the real world, gather feedback and iterate quickly because the faster you learn, the faster you build something that lasts.

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, we pause with gratitude as we honor those who's service to and sacrifice for our country will never be forgotten.

Our office will be closed Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day and will reopen Tuesday, May 26.
