This is my first repair video! If you've ever fought with (and lost) the front strap button coming loose on a hollowbody guitar, this fix is for you!

In this episode, I employ a simple but effective fix to solve the common problem of the front strap button screw hole stripping out and coming loose

Put a Gretsch 6119 Tennessee Rose on the bench for a restring, setup, and cleanup. I also added a switchable high pass filter on the master volume control, and damn, that's a neat mod.
I also added the NASA sticker, but I'm still not sure how much that affects the tone 😉🎸

I was recently tasked with consulting on and assembling a guitar built entirely of parts. The body and neck came from Warmoth, and had to be assembled and wired.

The satin finish on the body required extra care to resist scratches and marring, and the unfinished roasted maple neck required extra care as it can be prone to splitting and cracking when drilling. Beeswax was used in the all the screw holes to keep them lubricated and snug.

It was a great build project, and the guitar sounds and plays amazing.
If you're looking for any guitar work, especially if you haven't had your guitar set up and gone over in a while, give me a shout
