Trusting yourself as a business owner is THE HARDEST thing for most to experience.

Not trusting yourself to be able to overcome failure holds you and your business back from greatness.

That’s what most business owners, if not all, are worried about.

Failing. Failure. Failed.

It’s the “F” word we hate to think about!

The fear of failure makes most business owners not trust themselves to make decisions.

❗️Buying equipment
❗️Hiring employees
❗️Investing in marketing

The list is endless.

Here’s the thing FAILURE will happen.

It will!

Multiple times!

Businesses and business owners that are successful experience failure. They just decide to persevere to overcome the failure.

Think about every major brand you use on a daily basis.

Amazon
Apple
Walmart

All 3 had failures. Multiple failures.

In fact, Jeff Bezos pushes his leadership team to have failures. He believes failure is what catapults them to greater success.

Which is absolutely the truth!

What is it you’re afraid of right now in your business?

What decision are you continually putting off from making so you don’t fail?

Face your fear.

Face the “F” word and do that thing you’ve been scared to do!

Social Recon..... Do you do it daily? How does it work?

I get the following question a lot......

“How do I get more business from (insert position title)?”

Most of the time the question is related to property managers or realtors.

The simple and easy answer is to target them in your marketing.....

BUT how do you target them on social media??

Here’s a couple things you can do to target property managers or realtors.

1) Social Recon
2) Purchase a list of property managers and realtors in your market (I know a guy named David - hit him up!)
3) Do multiple videos daily speaking to realtors and property managers.
4) Join local property manager and realtor groups and participate in the group’s activities constantly.

Seriously, you should contact David Carroll at A Type Data and Purchase a list!

For this post and today I want to discuss Social Recon.

What is it? How do you do it?

Social Recon is a way to manipulate who sees your posts on social media. This works for FB, IG, YT and LinkedIn.

Start with developing a Top 10 list of targets.

Every day for an entire week, like, comment and share these 10 people’s posts. Do this multiple times daily!!!!

Each day within 5-10 minutes, post to the social media platform after liking, commenting or sharing these 10 people’s post.

Separately from the above postings, write a post where you tag these 10 once or twice that week and make it a post that is useful to them - NOT A SALES PITCH!

Each week, add 10 more people to this list (yeah, you’ll have to make friends and connections) until you have a DREAM 100. Keep interacting and posting.

Here’s a can’t miss MMA list.

Call and speak to 5 prospects you want to do business with and tell them you want to earn their business. Then shut up and listen.

Call and speak to 5 customers from last year and tell them about a service you offer that they need. Then shut up and listen.

Call and speak to 5 people who know you and ask them who they know that who needs your services. Ask them for their phone number and contact info. Then shut up and listen.

Do you want to grow your business significantly on a consistent basis?

Perform MMA similar to this on a daily basis!

Develop your sales skills by reading and devouring information.

Learn how to ask open-ended, probing questions.

Finally, learn that being an effective sales person is by listening. One of the most important sales lesson I ever learned was he who talks most loses.
