Just a little Puah Update!

2021 was a busy, hard and emotional year for us here at Puah. So busy that posting on Facebook seemed like such a daunting task 🤣 but it was also filled with so much joy, love, healing and babies. Lots and lots of babies ❤️❤️❤️ and so many beautiful home births.

Lydia finished school and moved to Mississippi to start a homestead with her sweet little family. She’s planning on continuing midwifery and serving local families as the Lord opens the doors. She’s been greatly missed.

Laura Niko joined us this year and is a true answer to prayer, straight from heaven above! She’s been trained as a birth assistant and also takes care of some of the admin side of Puah. She’s a true gem!💎

We went from seeing everyone in our homes to not only one, but two separate office spaces. We have one right off the square in Covington and the other one is in my (Maria’s) very own back yard in Loganville.😍 Such an answer to prayer.

We will be sharing lots of pictures and posts from 2021 and hopefully we will be more active on here this coming year. We’re even planning on starting a Instagram account so be on the lookout. 🤩

We are so thankful for each and every family that welcomed us into their birth space this year and let us walk the birth journey with you. We can’t wait to see all the beautiful mamas and sweet babies 2022 brings! 💕

Our little Christmas Miracle! Sweet baby ❤️ Lena!

🎄⛄️ Introducing our Christmas baby miracle….Ms. Lena ❤️🎄 Her amazing mama ROCKED the all-natural, intervention-free, drug-free, VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section), home-birth 🏠, water-birth 💦 of her precious baby girl! After 3 previous home-birth transfers, this incredibly determined mama didn’t give up….she was confident in her body and herself….steadfast in her decision to birth at home surrounded by her family and supportive birth team. At 41+ weeks labor started on Christmas afternoon and just a few short hours later, after an intense labor, sweet Lena was born into her mama’s arms. What a true Christmas miracle for this sweet family ❤️ Congratulations Missy & James, we are so incredibly happy for you! Thank you for allowing Mama’s Friend the honor of being a party of Lena’s beautiful birth-day as well as big sisters Jane, Lottie & Clara’s birth-days 2, 5 & 7 years ago❤️

🗣 Shoutout to the fabulous midwife Maria Quinones @ PUAH Birthing Services in Atlanta for taking such good care of this mama & her family…..we ❤️ your heart for mamas!

Dear Friends,
I have been wanting to post on here for awhile but honestly felt incapable of putting into words the grief that we, and I’m sure many of you, were experiencing.
Most everyone has heard by now but for those of you who haven’t or are new, we wanted to post it publicly.
Debbie, our beloved midwife and dearest friend passed away and went to be with Jesus after a two year long journey with a very rare form of cancer. Debbie was the founder and monarch of Puah Birthing Services and served hundreds of expecting mothers and their families. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Please continue to pray for all of us at Puah and that we would honor the beautiful legacy Debbie has provided us all.

SELAH(pause)...and see that the Lord is good! ❤️

What a blessing this 8th little girl is to an amazing family! Mama and Daddy were both champs during birth, and many prayers were answered. It has been a privilege to love and serve them through the years. Thank You, Lord, for little Selah.

We love you Hensley! 🌸 6/9/20

Hensley’s mother writes,

“I keep looking at this sweet precious face and falling in love over and over again. I love having her to hold and snuggle and breathe in deeply (new born smell 🥰). I love her little cry when she needs to get moved and she shows her disapproval. I love being able to BF her and those nursing sounds. I love everything about having her here. I am so thankful that God protected her during labor and delivery, and so grateful that He blessed us with her here on earth. I have waited five years for another baby with many losses in those years...which makes her arrival so much sweeter. She is so perfect 💝”

Hensley Adele, our 17th child, sixth here on earth. Named after both my grandparents that Heaven gained last year. My heart overflows.
