Flattery scales. Validation gets clicks. Consultants get rehired for confirming the strategy. Advisors keep the account by softening the feedback.

The honest answer operates in a much smaller market. Lower margins. Higher friction. Easier to fire.

Some people don't like me because when they ask, I actually tell them. Others hire me for exactly that reason. I've made peace with the math.

Here in Italy on April 25th in Panzano in Chianti, a district of Greve in Chianti, Tuscany. This event, which has been held for over 50 years, commemorates the end of the medieval feud between the Gherardini family of the Castle of Montagliari and the Firidolfi family of Panzano.

Key Aspects of the Celebration:
Medieval Parade: The streets are filled with a procession of hundreds of residents dressed in accurate Renaissance costumes, including nobles, knights, and peasants.
Reenactment: The main attraction is the staged trial and subsequent public hanging of Carlo de’ Gherardini. The reenactment includes a, in which a masked, hooded executioner often participates, representing the vengeance of the Firidolfi family.
Activities: The afternoon includes flag-throwing shows by the Contrada Alfiere, sword fighting, street artists, and musicians.
Food and Wine: The festival features tasting stands with local products, Chianti Classico wine, and typical Tuscan snacks like frittelle (fritters).
