This week our crews trained on our forceable entry prop where they honed their skills of gaining entry to locked doors. Also our maintenance staff conducted the yearly pump testing on our apparatus.

At 1:30 this afternoon, units were called out to a business off Hwy 25 for a worker who had fallen off a roof onto a lower roof. Our first engine arrived on scene and stabilized the patient, while our ladder truck arrived on scene and got into position. The patient was secured to the ladder basket and lowered down. Within about 30 minutes of receiving the call, the patient was rescued from the roof and taken to an area hospital for evaluation.

This afternoon units worked a shed fire that began as a grass fire. While we aren’t in a burn ban please always use caution when burning. Always remember we are here if you need us.
