Folk Art In Broom
In conjunction with the Museum of Art & Archaeology's "Art in Bloom" weekend (April 25-26, from 10-5 each day), Missouri Folk Arts is thrilled to unveil a new exhibit in our case near the Hitt Street entrance at the museum here in Columbia.

"Folk Arts in Bloom" features works by three traditional rug hookers: Georgia Eaton-Adams (Cowgill, Mo.); Tina Edholm (Columbia, Mo.); and Dulcy Stewart (Springfield, Mo.). Learn more about the exhibit at our website, linked in our bio.

We hope many can enjoy "Folk Arts in Bloom" in person, which is on exhibit through August. And, we will share images and stories about the artists and their works over the coming weeks.

"Folk Arts in Bloom" was curated from documentation gathered and relationships established during regional artist surveys from 2022 – 2026 as part of the Show Me Folk Initiative. Show Me Folk is made possible thanks to a Folk Arts Partnership Grant via the National Endowment for the Arts and a Partnership Grant via the Missouri Arts Council. As always, Missouri Folk Arts programming is made possible with the support of the Museum of Art & Archaeology in the Mizzou College of Arts & Science.

Made it home from Sauder Village two weeks ago heading out Wednesday for Woolkeepers in Indiana vending three days..

Sauder Village was a highly enriching experience for me, as I led two classes; the first, Oliver, lasted 4 days and culminated in the girls completing their goats. The second class, which concentrated on hooking with wool, demanded greater intensity, but ultimately, the participants learned valuable skills and created exceptional projects.
