So, sometimes you get to work on the drone....

A controller went bad in the spray boom and caused a domino effect with the wiring. Replacing both boom wiring harnesses is quite the undertaking!

Back to work this next week..

We tackled a little different project this week. Kaspar mine, on fire starting in the 1960s needed a haircut. We were tasked with vegetation removal from around the burning vents to prevent a wildfire from starting. This photo does not do the slope justice..

We have been working hard with our new drone to make sure we actually know what we are doing. The initial push of any new technology can have a steep learning curve!

Here is my 2 cents..

MAKE SURE YOU HIRE AN APPLICATOR WITH A DRONE LICENSE AND NOT DRONE PILOT WITH AND APPLICATOR LICENSE!

I have 24 years of professional application experience. I can't imagine trying to get this thing going AND be learning the chemicals too.

Just in case you guys think we take the winter off.. we take this time to make sure we have minimal failures in the summer. This one unfortunately required rhw removal of the motor!

As we change from our typical summer work into fall, our projects change as well. In this case we built and installed a new Parshall Flume for a client. This is by far the largest Parshall Flume I've seen in a ditch. It measured 6 feet at the throat.
