Exemplify BioPharma is proud to welcome Dr. John Dillon as a senior scientific advisor. As Exemplify BioPharma strives to meet growing demand and new clients’ needs, Dr. Dillon will help to re-affirm our commitment to establish new service areas. His experience in the field of early biologics development, biocatalysis, and biologics manufacturing will be integral to the expansion of Exemplify BioPharma’s business from its current support of small molecule CMC into the field of biologics CMC development.

John L. Dillon is a pharmaceutical process R&D professional with 37 years of experience in global leadership roles including a variety of executive positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Honeywell, Schering-Plough, Wyeth, Pfizer and, most recently, as CEO of Porton USA, a US subsidiary of Porton Pharma Solutions. John served as the Vice President of New Products Process Development at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals where he was responsible for building a global group to develop and commercialize new products from the Wyeth Pipeline based on the principles of Quality by Design (QbD). After the acquisition of Wyeth by Pfizer, he served as the Vice President of API Technology leading a diverse group of process chemists, analysts, and engineers responsible for second gen process development including use of chemical, engineering and enzyme technology for API production. John earned a B.S. from Syracuse University, and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from SUNY Binghamton.

Exemplify BioPharma is looking to hire a part-time intern. In the past our interns have been local college students with some degree of previous laboratory (college level) experience. Intern duties consist of glassware washing, assisting senior scientists with sample prep, general lab housekeeping, and light administrative work. Interns are expected to work 5 hours (or half day) per week and pay is $15/ hour. This is an excellent opportunity for students who would like to get real-world experience in the pharmaceutical industry. We are proud to sponsor the 34th New Jersey Chemistry Olympics, hosted by the New Jersey Institute of Technology. This annual event draws teams of high school students from across the state to compete in a series of events that test research abilities, technical expertise, and presentation skills. Today we celebrated the 1 year work anniversary of our analytical chemist, Dr. Tsagana Ednyasheva, with some delicious Japanese food! We also celebrated the end of summer for our intern, Matt, who returns to his undergrad studies at WPI next week. He will be missed!

Please help us welcome our newest Senior Process Chemist, Dr. Yexenia Nieves- Quinones. Yexenia comes to us from her postdoc in the Kozlowski lab at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her Ph.D. from Texas A&M in the lab of Dr. Daniel Singleton. We are very excited to have her join our team at Exemplify BioPharma!
